The new documentary Heaven Adores You, will be the first full-length feature that is allowed to use Elliott Smith's music -- and, reportedly, will also contain some unreleased music.
Directed by Nickolas Rossi, the film is billed as ďan intimate, meditative inquiry into the life and music of Elliott Smith.Ē It will feature unreleased songs, personal pictures, and rare footage in addition to interviews with Smithís friends and collaborators. Among those appearing in the documentary are Smithís sister Ashley, Joanna Bolme, Jon Brion, Neil Gust, Larry Crane, Rob Schnapf, and many more.

We all have that one musician that got us through our darkest moments; the only one whose words were comforting and made us feel less alone when we needed it most. For me, that person would be Elliott Smith, as Iím sure he was for many others out there, and it makes sense that Iím struggling to find the right words to write this little piece in his memory.
