Emmure have dropped off the We Came As Romans tour.
On our recent trip to the UK and Russia, we've realized that we need to put more focus on other things we have going on in our personal lives at this time

Frankie Palmeri from Emmure responded to an Alt. Press question of "whether artists should be more mindful of what language they use." Creating a straw-man to argue against is sort of a weird way to respond though.
I want to first answer this question by simply addressing the question at hand with a counter-question: Are you asking if artists have some moral obligation to make sure their lyrics are nice and safe for people of all walks of life? Should all artists be concerned about the influence they have over the possibility of someone hearing or reading something that would motivate a person to commit some sort of heinous or unlawful act?

Emmure have announced Adam Pierce as their new drummer.
We are happy to officially announce Adam Pierce being the new drummer for Emmure. His professional attitude towards touring, writing music and being in Emmure has given us a very positive and energetic outlook for the future. This may not be news to some of you as we’ve been all over the world together at this point. We welcome Adam to the group.

Emmure's founding guitarist, Ben Lionetti, released a statement condeming the band, their management, and their label.
I feel a little need to speak out. Let's get this straight ... Emmure is MY blood sweat and tears ..MY band born from my thoughts and my hard work and writing (I'm sure you can see the change from early Emmure to now so if they say they wrote it you know it's a lie; I was actually forced to say it was an even split wether it was money or writing credits) it will never be theirs as much as they can fake it that's all it is .. fake. To see what Frank [Palmeri] is doing to me and my family's hard work is absolutely disgusting. I love Mark [Davis], we hang all the time and...

Mark Costillo (Bury Your Dead, Between the Buried and Me) is now drumming for Emmure.
Guitarist Jesse Ketive CommentsMark Costillo has been a good friend for a few years now. Mark approached us as he heard through the grapevine that EMMURE needed a helping hand, so at that point I chatted with him about possibly recording our new CD and playing some shows. After jamming the set a few times we all decided that Mark was the perfect fit for us and undoubtedly should be our new drummer. He is the upmost professional and his work on the new effort in going to really help us bring everything to another level. Everyone better watch out.
