Dark Horse Comics will be publishing a 10-part Fight Club sequel.
Fight Club 2 takes place alternately in the future and the past. It picks up a decade after the ending of his original book, where the protagonist is married to equally problematic Marla Singer and has a 9-year-old son named Junior, though the narrator is failing his son in the same way his dad failed him.

At the same time, Palahniuk says readers will have an idea of Tyler's true origins. "Tyler is something that maybe has been around for centuries and is not just this aberration that's popped into his mind."

Marvel announced on tonight's Colbert Report that Steve Rogers will turn Captain America over to Sam Wilson, making Wilson the first black Captain America.
That Colbert got to announce the change is altogether fitting; Cap's shield has been on display on the show since early 2007, ever since Marvel "bequeathed" the shield to the host after Steve Rogers' assumed death in the aftermath of the Civil War event series. Wilson will take up the mantle as a result of more recent events in Captain America continuity, however. In Captain America #21, Rogers fights his greatest foe yet in the Iron Nail, only to have the villain drain him of the super soldier serum keeping him young and...

Marvel has announced that the new Thor will be a woman.
"The inscription on Thor’s hammer reads ‘Whosoever holds this hammer, if HE be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.’ Well it’s time to update that inscription,” says Marvel editor Wil Moss. "The new Thor continues Marvel’s proud tradition of strong female characters like Captain Marvel, Storm, Black Widow and more. And this new Thor isn’t a temporary female substitute – she’s now the one and only Thor, and she is worthy!" Series writer Jason Aaron emphasizes, "This is not She-Thor. This is not Lady Thor. This is not Thorita. This is THOR. This is the THOR of the Marvel Universe. But it’s unlike any Thor we've ever seen before."

George R.R. Martin says "fuck you" to those that think he'll die before he finishes his A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones) series.
Merely saying it apparently wasn't enough; Martin also flipped the bird to make his feelings resoundingly clear. Martin has been slaving away on The Winds of Winter, the sixth novel, for some time now, but has refrained from offering fans a firm release date — or even a general window as to when they can expect it. He plans to wrap the series after the seventh novel.

The Jesus Christ Superstar tour failed due to "horrific" ticket sales.
Conceived as a 54-city arena tour, the show boasted a cast of Incubus frontman Brandon Boyd, John Lydon (aka Johnny Rotten) of the Sex Pistols, ’N Sync’s JC Chasez and Destiny’s Child singer Michelle Williams. Despite the enduring popularity of the music and a well-executed April announcement featuring the cast and producers, the production never caught on with the public.

Bill Watterson, the mastermind behind Calvin and Hobbes, sneakily returned to drawing comics by guest drawing Pearls Before Swine. The entire story has been posted by the author and it's really amazing.
He said he knew that in my strip, I frequently make fun of my own art skills. And that he thought it would be funny to have me get hit on the head or something and suddenly be able to draw. Then he’d step in and draw my comic strip for a few days.

That’s right.

The cartoonist who last drew Calvin and Hobbes riding their sled into history would return to the comics page. To draw Pearls Before Swine. What followed was a series of back-and-forth emails where we discussed what the...

Remember that Jesus Christ Superstar show with Johnny Rotten and Brandon Boyd from Incubus? It's been canceled.
A statement on the show’s website confirmed the news that the production, which was to have started performances June 9 at the Lakefront Arena in New Orleans, was no longer going forward and that all ticket sales would be refunded.

Amazon and HBO have signed an agreement to bring many of the premium channel's shows to Amazons Prime's video service. Just gonna toss it out there: if you haven't seen The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, and/or The Wire ... you're missing out.
Newer shows like Girls, The Newsroom and Veep will eventually be made available to Prime subscribers, but not until three years after they've first aired on HBO. And other hits like Game of Thrones aren't even mentioned as part of the deal, so HBO may be keeping some popular content for itself.

“In this case, it was unique because we sent [music supervisor] Mary Ramos to Wisconsin to show the movie to Bon Iver, and they wrote a song pretty much on the spot,” Braff said. “She sat there in Wisconsin while they wrote a song.”
