Today's interview comes from Envy, with whom I recently spoke on their final show in the States after their first tour here in four years. Tetsuya Fukagawa talks a bit about how local acts start up in Japan. For our users in other countries, how are your music scenes? How do they run, especially the D.I.Y. ones? Do you think if we weren't as flooded with music and almost spoiled with numerous tours here in the United States, do you think there would be a greater appreciation for music and live shows? How would you feel to be able to only see your favorite band play every four years since they were not from your country? Hit the replies and get the discussion going.

News posts about Envy and their upcoming album, Recitation, have been receiving an overwhelmingly positive response from you over the past few weeks, so we figured we would take the next step. Thus, we have partnered up with Temporary Residence to bring you an exclusive stream of the entire album on the band's AP.net profile. Details for the pre-order of Thursday and Envy's split LP together have been announced. Read it below or here.
Pre-Order InformationAfter months of anticipation, we are happy to finally announce the upcoming pre-order for the outrageously good Thursday/Envy split LP+CD. It will be a limited edition LP+CD set, which means the CD comes free inside of the LP format; there will be no separated CD or LP versions. This means it probably won't be available in Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Circuit City, or most "record" stores in the mall. But it will certainly be available at your local independently owned record store, while supplies last. We're not exactly sure how limited it will be yet; maybe 10,000,...

This past Saturday, Envy on the Coast ran into some unexpected road conditions on their way to their first tour date with Hit The Lights in Columbus, Ohio and did not make it to the show on time. There were some very disappointed fans there that had driven from hours away. Thankfully, the show promoter decided to let the band play a special impromptu acoustic set in the kitchen of his apartment for the disappointed fans and they caught the special set all on tape, so check it out here.
