Brolly will release their second EP, Wolfe, on September 23rd. Today, we are streaming a new song from it called "Ghost Town." The band has ambient elements that take influences from both Coldplay and From Indian Lakes, which isn't surprising since Dryw Owens (From Indian Lakes, Culprit, Consider the Thief) helped the band produce the album. Give it a listen in the replies.

Boston indie-rock band The Color And Sound recently signed to Black Numbers; a 2013 EP was re-issued as an introduction to new fans, but the real excitement for the pop-friendly, boppy act begins right now (right now!!) with the September 16 release of a new EP called Peace of Mind (pre-order here). In the replies, we're premiering a lyric video for the first tune to be released from that EP, titled "Cigarettes," in the form of a lyric video that looks like a karaoke machine. Here's the thing; well, here's two things: 1. How have I never seen a lyric video done like this before?? and 2. It's damn, damn good and catchy as all hell. Check it out, or else why did you bother meandering to...

Light Years is stuck in a hype-y pop-punk genre that, to be perfectly honest, it doesn't quite fit in. Its members are older than most of their peers, and they don't play the type of Tumblr-friendly songs that lead bands to high Billboard chart positions. That's okay though -- because what Light Years does best is deliver honest, straightforward punk rock tracks presented with excellent guitar work, catchy melodies and thoughtful craftsmanship. You can stream the title track from their forthcoming Animal Style Records EP, Temporary, in the replies -- and when you're done enjoying it, you can preorder the 12" here.

Living in Gainesville for four years taught me lots of things, and one of them was that there existed in Central and Northern Florida a hotbed of talented punk and emo bands. I watched groups like Gainesville's Dikembe and Orlando's You Blew It! play house shows before they signed to Tiny Engines and Topshelf Records, respectively, and I discovered Orlando's Henrietta when they put out a split with Tallahassee's Echo Base (who they will hit the road with this summer - dates in the replies) and South Florida's Gillian Carter.
