University of Southern California will be having its annual Springfest tomorrow, April 21st. It is a free day-long music festival that takes place on campus at McCarthy Quad. You can find directions to the campus here. It features The Game, Ghostface Killah, Rx Bandits, Over It, We are the Fury, The Secret Handshake and much more.
You can find the lineup for Coachella 2007 below. Bjork will be headlining April 27th, Red Hot Chili Peppers the 28th and Rage Against The Machine on the 29th. Tickets are $250 for a 3-day pass and the pre-sale is here, password Roxanne. Regular tickets go on sale this Saturday through Ticketmaster. Besides RATM, the other notable reunion will be The Jesus And Mary Chain, performing on the 27th.
The Uprising Festival this year will feature Relient K, Mae, Copeland, Dustin Kensure of Thrice, Waking Ashland, Sherwood, Brandtson, My American Heart, Melee, Tokyo Rose, Cool Hand Luke, Vedera, House of Heroes, OneRepublic, Starflyer 59, and Goodbye Tomorrow. MusicBox Promotions and PureVolume present Six50 Summer Festival, which will take place on July 29th with Bedlight For Blueeyes, Roses Are Red, The Panic Division and Far-Less along with 20 other bands on two stages. There will also be a skate park, video games, BBQ, raffle for skate decks and Warped Tour tickets, and much more. The show is all ages and it will cost $10 at the gate, which open at noon. Intonation Music Festival (last year curated by Pitchfork, this year by Vice Records) has announced its two headliners: Bloc Party and The Streets. The rest of the line-up will be announced soon. The festival takes place 6/24-25 at Union Park in Chicago.
The 8th Annual New England Metal And Hardcore Festival will take place at the Palladium in Worcester, MA on Friday April 28th, Saturday April 29th, and Sunday April 30th. Friday tickets are $35; Saturday and Sunday individual day tickets are $40. Meanwhile, three-day passes are $109.50. Vanderbilt University's "Rites Of Spring" festival will be taking place on April 21-22 on the Nashville, TN campus. Bands include My Morning Jacket, Ben Folds, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Gov't Mule and more. Tickets are $25 for a single day and $40 for the weekend and is open to students and the general public. They go on sale March 1st on Ticketmaster.
Pitchfork Mediaand event organizer Mike Reed are hoping to duplicate the success of their Intonation Music Festival with this year's Pitchfork Music Festival. It will be at the same location in Chicago, on July 29th and 30th. No line-up has been announced, although last year's featured The Decemberists, Death From Above 1979, Broken Social Scene, Les Savy Fav, and many others.
The first two official dates with the new 7 piece The Ataris have been announced; they are in London and Manchester, England @ Give it a Name festival April 29th and 30th.
