Fireworks have released a new charity T-shirt to benefit Variety Detroit.
We chose Variety-Detroit: The Children's Charity, simply helping kids no matter the need. This hits specifically close to home because as an infant and young child I was in the Variety Program. They provided funding for a prosthesis when I was about 18 months old. I was reconnected with Variety again because their organization works closely with the prothesisist who developed the guitar pick I'm currently playing with now. I figured what better way to give back to them than donate through our shirt in the Live Shot Charity Tee's series. They gave me a chance and every Kid deserves a chance.

Both Fireworks and Transit members have tweeted pretty damning statements about the Empire venue in Springfield, VA. From what we've been able to piece together, it looks like the promoter used hateful speech -- and then shit hit the fan. We've reached out to try and find out exactly what happened.

Update: A statement about everything that happened, from Floyd James, can be found here.

Read my review of the Pawtucket, RI stop of The Wonder Years' current tour with Fireworks, Hostage Calm and Misser on March 9th here.
The Wonder Years put forth all of their energy at every show, but there's something special about seeing them in a small club. Both the band and the fans relished the intimate setting. Adding a strong line-up of genuine musicians - really, any band on the show could have headlined to a solid turnout - was merely the icing on the cake. Don't miss this tour if it's coming anywhere near you, because The Wonder Years probably won't be playing venues this small for a while.

Fireworks are writing, but they're not sure what they're gonna do next.
From the Interview We’re trying to figure out the release we want to do next. Whether we want to do an EP or something like that. As of now, there’s no set plans. But we have been writing. And we do have a little bit of time off between now and Warped Tour and we’re going to use that time to write. [..] We’ve kind of got to the point where we’ve established ourselves a little bit; have a decent fan base. We can’t over saturate ourselves by touring too much. And we are older now so we have to take other things into consideration. We have to weigh the pros and cons of doing certain tours and not doing certain...
