Frank Turner declined his label's suggestion he should collaborate with Taylor Swift on his new album.
"I wanted the end [of the song] to be sung by an American woman [pretending] to be Christa," Turner said of the song 'Silent Key'. "The record label were suggesting some of the more famous people that Butch has worked with, like, fucking Taylor Swift. No contact was ever made but they were like, 'Let's ask Taylor'. I was like, 'That's a fucking rubbish idea'."

Frank Turner's in-ear monitors were stolen last night.
The show in Ottawa last night was a blast, thanks to everyone who came down. Sad to say, after the show I left my in-ear monitor ear pieces in the dressing room, went off to meet people and hang out, and when I came back they were gone. No one at the venue or on my crew knows where they got to. They're moulded for me, so no use to anyone else; they're far from cheap and difficult to replace; and they're pretty essential to our current technical stage set up. There's a picture of them below. I have no idea what might have happened, and I don't particularly care, I'm just desperate to get them back. If anyone has them or knows where they...

Frank Turner signed a deal with Headline Publishers to write his memoirs. I could not be more in.
It took some persuading for me to think about writing a book of any kind, but in the end I realised Iíve spent a pretty unusual amount of time touring hard in the last few years, and I have a fair few stories to tell, and maybe even a tiny smidgen of wisdom to impart to people starting out on the same path. Plus I come from a family of yarn-spinners, and I can run my mouth, so it makes sense.

Read my review and check out my photos of Day 2 of the Boston Calling Music Festival, which featured performances from Death Cab For Cutie, The Decemberists, Frank Turner and more.
Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls may have put on the best performance of Boston Calling. The pace was set immediately as they opened with "Photosynthesis," in which Turner wailed on his trusty acoustic and guitarist Ben Lloyd ripped a solo on the electric mandolin. It was Turner's 1,568th show, as he proudly told the audience, but his boundless energy (perhaps owed to his hardcore roots) made it feel one-of-a-kind.

Turner has written a blog to update fans on his health; feel free to leave him well wishes in the replies.
Anyone who knows me even vaguely will know that, as well as being in a fair amount of pain, Iím filled with rage at my puny weakling back for letting me down, not to mention all the people at the shows. I can only humbly apologise. Hopefully I can sort this issue now and going forward Iíll be fine to keep touring til Iím old and gray.

Speaking of the future, people coming to Hatfield,...
