The Appreciation Post are giving away their EP, Brighter Sides, for free on Purevolume. They are currently in the studio with Marc McCluskey (Farewell, Ludo, Powerspace) recording their follow-up. Additionally, the band has been posting videos while they're in the studio on Kyte.tv; you can check those out on the Purevolume page as well.
Here is the last two weeks of submissions for Free Music Friday. If you're in a band, please email email@example.com with "Free" in the subject line. Your new favorite fans are only a few clicks away.
Here is this weeks installment of Free Music Friday. I would really like to thank all the bands that have contributed so far. I, along with many others have found quite a few solid bands that I would have never found otherwise. If you want to be a part of this magic, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org with "Free" in the subject line and submit your songs, eps, and full lengths. Make sure you also send some similar artists so people know what to expect.
Head to the replies to get your weekly fill of free music goodness. If you would like to contribute (we need bands to contribute in order to keep this alive), please email email@example.com with "Free" in the subject line to be added for next week. Also, if you do contribute in the future, a group of similar artists for your band would help out a ton!
So our first week of free music submissions are in. We'd like to thank all the bands for participating, and encourage new bands to step forward. Nothing shows appreciation for your fans like giving away some of your music for free, and this is a great community to do it in. If you're interested in sending us anything, or know someone whose given music away, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with "Free" in the subject line to submit! Or you can just leave it in the replies. If you do send anything, make sure to send some bands for the RIYL sections. Happy downloading!
Here at AP.net, we know what you guys love more than anything. Free stuff! Starting next week, we will start featuring links to free downloads hosted by bands and record labels. If you wish to participate and get your music featured, send your cds, eps, or just single songs to email@example.com with "Free" in the subject line. We want your band's music to get heard, and this is a great way to get noticed. Also, if you know any bands who have put up any links to their music in the recent past, you can send them in as well! Please no illegal links that aren't hosted by the bands themselves.
It's been a year since Down To Earth Approach decided to call it a day. In memory of their valiant years as a band, they wanted us to have three ABSOLUTExclusive b-sides from their 2007 album, Come Back to You, which you can now download for free. Also to bring back the good times, the band has included a video of random tour moments and commentary from good friend and tour buddy, Aaron. See all of this at the band's AP.net Profile.
Download the new EP - At The Base of The Metropolis - from San Diego experimental rock outfit, Scarlet Symphony, at their AP.net Profile. It's free, it's bangin', and it's exclusive from our kind and giving souls. Tell us what you think.
Brilliant Red Lights are giving away an acoustic version of a new song, "The Exception". They will be debuting the full-band version at their show on June 14th in San Francisco (at the Fillmore) with The Matches and Scissors For Lefty. If that's not enough free music for you, go to their website to download everything the band has ever recorded.
Polaris At Noon (Jason Suwito) will be releasing their new music in seasons, mirroring those of a television show. As a primer, they have released The Pilot EP, which you can download for FREE on the band's AP.net Profile; three tracks of endlessly appealing pop-rock in the vein of Acceptance.
Tomorrow, In Flight Radio will release The Sound Inside, but we're providing an early hook-up. Head to the band's AP.net Profile and you can download an ABSOLUTExclusive EP featuring two songs from the band's 2006 release and two unreleased edits from the band's upcoming album.
Shining Through has canceled two upcoming shows (April 14th @ Killer Pizza and April 18th @ Alpine) due to the departure of their drummer. If you're good with the sticks, send the band a message on myspace. Additionally, they've posted "So We Say" from their newest EP (which you can download for free here) on myspace.
Ben from You Me and Everyone We Know wants to thank you for downloading their free EP. Grab it before it goes away. The band has also made a video to go along with the download - watch it in the replies.
