Read our write-up of the November 10th Austin stop of the Lydia tour with From Indian Lakes.
With From Indian Lakes having even more energy and emphasis live than on record and Lydia having a more upbeat atmosphere than normal, this show was definitely a memorable one. If you havenít seen Lydia since Devil came out, I highly recommend trying to catch them soon, as the songs carry over quite well to the live setting Ė sing-alongs, people. Iím sure seeing the duo with The Maine and Anberlin was fantastic, but I was quite happy to be able to catch the two on their last night out following that tour.

Former The Downtown Fiction drummer and current From Indian Lakes manager, Eric Jones, wrote a blog about signing a record deal, what it means for bands, the misconceptions behind it, and advice for young bands - check it out here.
I think a big misconception amongst young bands is that signing to a label is the end-all be-all. That it is the pinnacle of your career. But hereís the truth: at best, itís a platform to build off of. I wish someone wouldíve told that to me when I had first signed. I hate to say it, but I got a little lazy. The entire band did. We waited for the label to make us rich and famous, as if the label could churn out the hits, put a few 0ís in our bank accounts,...

From Indian Lakes have signed to Triple Crown Records. The band will begin recording their label debut in early 2014. The label also announced there will be a vinyl re-issue of Able Bodies in October.
ďWe are excited to announce that we have signed to Triple Crown Records. We have always been a DIY kind of band and that isn't changing now. Releasing Able Bodies on our own was incredible, but there were some things that we felt could have been better for our fans, and partnering with Triple Crown is going to make the next release even more special. They are also a label that supports artistic freedom, which is what's most important to us and hopefully everyone who supports us. Looking...
