Funeral for a Friend have been named Artist of the Year at BT's Digital Music Awards in London, England. The triumph comes in recognition of the outfit's latest offering, Tales Don't Tell Themselves, which is available worldwide courtesy of Atlantic Records.

Atlantic Records will be releasing a mini album entitled The Great Wide Open on October 15 of live recordings from Funeral For A Friend's first two EPs, Between Order & Model and Four Ways To Scream Your Name, along with the song "Tales Don't Tell Themselves." Funeral for a Friend has been forced to cancel their previously scheduled performance on this year's Bamboozle festival due to an overbooked itinerary.
Press ReleaseYou may have heard that we're not going to able to make it out to the Bamboozle Festival this year. We are gutted not to be able to get there to see our US friends. The fact is that we're in the middle of a period of intense rehearsal that keeps getting interrupted by video shoots and promo for the new album and we aren't going to be able to make it over. Funeral For A Friend will begin mixing their new album, Tales Don't Tell Themselves, tomorrow with Dave Bascombe (Genesis, Depeche Mode, Placebo) behind the boards. The new album is expected on shelves sometime in May. Tour dates, new songs and a video are right around the corner, so we'll keep you posted.

Funeral For A Friend are hoping to enter the studio in November. More on this is below.
FFAF Updatethe writing has been going very, very well, this is the most excited that we've been about a record since we started this band and it represents each of us better than any Funeral songs have ever done in the past. we're really excited about it. we're hopeing to go into the studio around November time and have the whole album tracked before christmas sets in. we're really excited about the recording time, oh and more news on who we will be working with to produce the record in the coming weeks.
