Writing from my bunk to let you know that my doctor and my vocal coach have told me I can’t play tonight either. I have a chest infection and … Something called "exhaustion". Ha. Words in this tiny little message cannot begin to express my frustration, sadness, and overall loopiness (the latter is likely just from the cortisone and antibiotics…ugh.)
Corpus Christi, you’ve been on my mind since I woke up this afternoon and Dallas, you’ll be on my mind the rest of the night. I absolutely hate canceling anything. Admitting defeat is a tough thing for this gal.
Yahoo have posted some more of the Q&A with Hayley Williams of Paramore.
I'm starting to accept that 25 is not 16. Seven or eight years ago, we would go to Taco Bell, grab a bean burrito and run onstage. Now, getting ready for a show takes two hours – Jeremy and Taylor [York, Paramore's guitarist] have to wrap their ankles, and I have to do stretches so I don't hurt my neck from headbanging. I'm loving it, but I definitely might collapse at one of these shows.
Hayley Williams of Paramore spoke yesterday with Coop and Gillian of AMP Radio 98.7 about Miley Cyrus' VMA performance. Now, this might just be the ugliest radio website of all time -- but if you can fight through it, you can stream the conversation (or just jump here). Hayley talks about how the performance made her uncomfortable and how she didn't like how it appeared that Miley was "using black girls as accessories."
Just got confirmation that my ears do work. As we know, Hayley Williamstweeted that she contributes some background vocals on the new mewithoutYou album. However, I wanted to make sure before posting what songs she appears on, and can now say that they are: "Fox's Dream of the Log Flume" and "All Circles." I posted a few of my initial thoughts on the new album here, and will add to that: I honestly didn't recognize Hayley's vocals until I started looking for them. That said, they fit in perfectly. Don't waste your breath complaining.
A fan has written in from the road and said that he talked to the bass player of mewithoutYou last night, they will be going on a eight week headlining tour in June, July, and August. He also mentioned some news that I hadn't seen anywhere else: Hayley Williams does guest vocals on their upcoming album.
Ed Note: I think it's on the track "Fox's Dream of the Log Flume." - Jason
Last night at Paramore's show, Hayley Williams lost her voice during their set and walked off stage, so the band played "Misery Business" with the crowd singing the lyrics instead. Video is in the replies.
Hayley Williams (Paramore) just finished her AP.net chat. Start here and keep reading for all answers to questions regarding Hayley's role in the zombie apocalypse, the inner workings behind brand new eyes, the Millionaires situation, and more.
UPDATE: Whoa, let the flames begin. So, we expected a huge chat, but we did not expect anything as colossal as we got. To put it in simple terms, we are broken. We received over 4x the traffic we were prepared for and the site could not possibly handle it. That’s what we get. For this, I apologize and am feeling sorry. We could not possibly handle the amount of exposure the chat garnered nor the thousands of people that put pressure on the site and crushcrushcrushed the site. Looking up, we have a miracle. Hallelujah! Hayley’s going to go through this thread and answer all of your questions. Here we go again…
Hayley Williams of Paramore will be chatting in this thread at...
