Heartsupport is a non-profit founded by Jake Luhrs (August Burns Red), where fans of the music community can come together and talk about issues such as depression, anxiety, etc. You might recognize past videos from musicians such as Kevin Jordan (This Wild Life), Garret Rapp (The Color Morale), and JT Cavey (Texas In July), where they talk about their own experiences. Jake Luhrs, lead vocalist of August Burns Red, has written a blog about Ferguson and the Christian church, which you can read over at HeartSupport.

Jake Luhrs (August Burns Red) was recently a guest on the Bad Christian podcast, in which he talked about joining August Burns Red in 2006, what a "Christian" band is and his distaste for certain things in the church, his frustrations with the current state of the metalcore genre, Heartsupport, and a lot more.

Last year, Jake Luhrs (August Burns Red) took his non-profit organization Heartsupport on the road with the Warped Tour. They're working hard on being able to return this summer, and they're currently accepting donations to be able to achieve this goal. HeartSupport, the non-profit organization started by Jake of August Burns Red, has announced the partnership with Blessthefall's lead singer, Beau Bokan. Both will be signing at the HeartSupport tent and selling merchandise from both HeartSupport and Bokan’s clothing line Golden Hearts Shine Forever. Watch an announcement here.
