The Wonder Years frontman Dan Campbell has announced a solo project called Aaron West and The Roaring Twenties and will release a full-length concept album called We Don't Have Each Other on July 8 via Hopeless Records. The record was produced by The Early November's Ace Enders and incorporates elements of folk, with Campbell listing The Mountain Goats, The Weakerthans, Bright Eyes and more as inspirations. More fleshed-out details, the album art, a video introducing the project and concept and dates performing on the Warped Tour's Acoustic Basement can be seen in the replies.

Yesterday, Hopeless Records celebrated its 20th year of being a label. While many know Hopeless as a label that's released some of our users favorite albums of all time, it's also dedicated a lot of time, resources, and money to charity via Sub City, its nonprofit subsidiary. What's for certain is that Hopeless Records has been an integral part to this website, the scene, and many music fan's lives. Today, I'll be counting down my five favorite Hopeless Releases - feel free to add in your own lists as well. Here's to another 20 years!

First off, I want to thank everyone for participating in our Yellowcard "Share Your #YCMoment" contest over the past two months. It was a new approach to a contest and we're happy with how it turned out. The band and label have picked their winners this week and you can find those in the replies. Just a reminder, the 3 runners up receive every YC album on vinyl + 2 Yellowcard shirts, while the grand prize winner will receive that package along with the backdrop used during the tour (autographed by the band, of course). So once again, thank you to all the fans who went to the shows and entered as well as to Yellowcard, the band's management, and Hopeless Records for helping out.

Apparently the CD version of All Time Low's Don't Panic: It's Longer Now are limited to "only" 15,000 units. It may seem like a lot, but consider the fact that this band has multiple top-10 debuts in the sales charts. They've sold well over 1 million albums and 4 million singles worldwide. Hit the replies to discuss if you think this a sign of a future marketing strategy. Will bigger labels start limiting CD quantities to raise the incentive to buy them? Is this the "vinylification" of the CD?

Apparently the latest issue of Kerrang! Magazine reveals that Neck Deep has signed to Hopeless Records and will be openers for the UK leg of The Wonder Years' previously announced European tour. Those dates are in the replies and ticket links are on TWY's Facebook page.

The Wonder Years' new album, The Greatest Generation, has debuted at No. 20 on the Billboard 200 charts with 19,673 units moved in first-week sales. For some perspective: The first time I interviewed the band, they were excitedly reporting first-week sales of The Upsides that came in at 1,852 units. Suburbia I've Given You All and Now I'm Nothing debuted two years ago with 8,100 first-week sales. Congratulations to the band, their management and Hopeless Records!

The Wonder Years are doing this thing where you can upload a video to Vimeo asking them a question. Then they will take your video and answer your question, and compile and bunch, and put them on the Internet. We told you last week about The Wonder Years' pop-up shop going on in Philadelphia during the release week for The Greatest Generation, and now the band has released tickets for each night. The tickets are free - you just have to print them out and bring them with you to the event. However, they are limited, and the final night (featuring an acoustic Wonder Years performance, meet-and-greet and signings) is almost "sold out." Head to the replies to see what's going down each night.
