On June 24th, 2014, I Surrender will be releasing Midtown's Forget What You Know on vinyl for the first time ever 10 years after it was originally released. The record is a double LP packaged in a double gatefold jacket. It's limited to 1000 copies and pressed on 500 white and 500 half clear/half translucent green vinyl. A limited amount of white copies will be going up for pre-sale in the webstore starting tomorrow at 10:30am EST.
Today we are proud to premiere the first EP release in the I SurrenderOur Voices collection. The first batch features four original songs from the likes of Adam Lazzara (Taking Back Sunday), Anthony Raneri (Bayside), Chris Conley (Saves The Day), and Vinnie Caruana (I Am The Avalanche). I Surrender Records will be releasing Our Voices on November 25th. This will be the first in what the label hopes will become an ongoing series of EPs featuring original solo tracks from the members of some of the biggest and most influential punk and indie bands. The initial EP features brand new music from Adam Lazzara of Taking Back Sunday, Anthony Raneri of Bayside, Chris Conley of Saves The Day, and Vinnie Caruana of I Am The Avalanche. Valencia has been forced to remove themselves from the remaining dates on the School's for Fools tour, on which the group were joined by Just Surrender, We the Kings, and Metro Station; Just Surrender will be headlining the rest of the dates. While the remainder of the tour is slated to continue, the group have cited a case of strep throat surrounding vocalist Shane Henderson as reason for the cancellations.
Four Year Strong have made new two new songs entitled "Wrecked 'Em? Damn Near Killed 'Em" and "Maniac (R.O.D.)" available for streaming at their official website. The tracks are set to appear on the group's upcoming release, Rise or Die Trying, which is slated for release on September 18th via I Surrender Records.
