In light of their tour announcement with Coheed & Cambria and Balance & Composure, I The Mighty vocalist Brent Walsh reflected on how much it means to tour with his favorite band.
If you know me at all, you know that for the past decade Coheed has been my favorite band, and will most likely be just that for the remainder of my life. Their Keywork logo was the first thing I ever saw fit to be permanently inked on my body. I write the type of music I write because back in high school, when I started really analyzing what type of rock avenue I wanted to take, they opened up my mind. Announcing this tour today has been surreal to say the least.

Everyone loves a good guest spot - there's just something so fun about a surprise vocalist sneaking their way onto track you wouldn't expect. When I The Mighty needed a female set of pipes for Satori, they called in The Material's Colleen D'Agostino to fill out "Four Letter Words," a stand out track on a damn good record. We reunited the band with their guest at the House Of Blues, grabbing an acoustic rendition of the song - check it out in the replies.

Read my review of the Boston, MA stop of Say Anything's "Rarities and More Tour" with Eisley, HRVRD and I the Mighty here. It features footage of Max Bemis playing "A Boston Peace" live for the first time ever.
The intimate setting also afforded mastermind Max Bemis with the opportunity to get closer to the crowd. He said that, since they had the next day off, the band could go extra wild that night. And wild they went, for 75 intense minutes. Bemis deserves recognition for embracing the old material. He easily could have cashed his check for the rarities compilation without ever playing the songs; instead, fans are being treated to an entire tour dedicated to them. Bemis...
