"Hey guys it has been a while since I (Kelly) have been on. What a week! We finished 5 and a half new songs and today we start recording them to see what they might sound like. I for one am excited to show you, the fans what Maylene and the new lineup has come up with. Further more it allows us to be that much closer to bringing to you the fans some good old fashion "Southern Rock". I can't give away too much but it has allot of Classic Rock feel with a modern twist. A Static Lullaby and Maylene and The Sons of Disaster will be hitting the road together this fall to tour nationwide. The tour, sponsored by Hurley, will also include Showbread, Confide, and Attack Attack! The tour kicks off on September 26th in Memphis, TN and ends on November 15, 2008.

Maylene and the Sons of Disaster has parted ways with three members; replacements have already been found.

We have some news to announce. Maylene has recently undergone a line-up change. Due to the rigors of the road Lee Turner, Scott Collum and Josh Williams are no longer in the band. We are excited to announce our new members: Chad Huff, Kelly Scott Nunn and Matt Clark. They have been long time friends of ours and some are former band-mates. Maylene and the Sons of Disaster have completed work on their new music video for "Darkest of Kin." The video, which was filmed on location at the Hurley Studios in Costa Mesa, California, is expected to surface online shortly. The track is taken from the group's latest release, II, which is available now via Ferret Music.
