A Day to Remember played "Right Back At It Again," "City of Ocala," and "All I Want" acoustically over at Billboard.
"We can actually make it the quality that we want to make it at," says frontman Jeremy McKinnon. "Instead of somebody saying, 'This is the cutoff for the budget,' we can say, 'No, this is going to be around forever and we want to put out quality stuff.'"

Soundscan has confirmed that A Day To Remember's Common Courtesy has sold 92,874 copies. A portion of the press-release is below.
Today Neilsen Soundscan verifies that the band sold 40,550 copies through their own digital direct to fan presale as well as 52,324 albums through traditional retail outlets such as Best Buy, iTunes and Hot Topic. In total, the new album has sold 92,874 copies in the US alone. The album will not debut on the Billboard chart this week due to the untraditional nature of this release but the band is very thankful for the overwhelming support and loyalty of their fans. Had Common Courtesy been eligible the band would have had a Top 10 debut this week.

PropertyOfZack is reporting on a new A Day To Remember and Victory Records case development that alleges the band paid John Janick (at the time of Fueled By Ramen) a sum of $450,000 over a period of four years as a manager to the band. However, the court has ruled that Janick was not acting as a manager and that means a variety of things for the case, including that Janick can now be deposed. You can read a rundown of the case here and view the latest document (sent in by Tony of Victory Records) here.

I had the opportunity to sit down with the lead singer of A Day to Remember, Jeremy McKinnon, and talk about boring things things like life, pets, and favorite foods ... wait, no, that would be stupid ... we talked about the band's three year journey to put out their new album Common Courtesy, the current legal situation with Victory Records, and the history behind why the band signed to the label with such a vague contract in the first place. It's a wild ride.
The only thing he was trying to do with this is try and ruin our careers. He would always say that over the years when he would call us up, and we didn’t want to do something … for instance … he made us put out “Old Record.” And,...

What appears to be the original version of A Day To Remember's "The Document Speaks For Itself," allegedly featuring a threatening voicemail from Victory Records' Tony Brummel, has surfaced.

Curious what this video referenced in the voice mail is? Some insight from videographer Drew Russ:
I sent Victory an edit of the "2nd Sucks" Music video I did. It had a watermark over the video which read "Victory Records Proof" like you know, a proof of a photo, that you look at before it's final. (This was standard, They asked for a water marked version)

Tony gets it and thinks it means like Victory Proof like Fire Proof or something. Gets mad, calls me. I thankfully let it go to voicemail,...

Well, it seems like some of the pre-order downloads are being sent out for A Day To Remember's new album, Common Courtesy. Since basically everyone will be listening to this album for the first time together, we are making a discussion post about the new album. Also, Thomas Nassiff already has the first review up of Common Courtesy and you can also check out the analysis Jason Tate posted earlier about the band's ongoing legal battle with Victory Records. Personally, I think Common Courtesy is the band's best effort since For Those Who Have Heart and may end up being the band's best release yet. AP.net will have a lot more content surrounding the release (including an exclusive...
