Houston Calls' new twitter background is a magazine ad that declares "new music coming your way" (could it be?) - and they're giving away their albums for free.

Last night at Valencia's show in Boston, Shane announced that the reason the band cancelled a couple of dates on their current tour was so that he could be with his mother, who just had surgery for breast cancer. He then dedicated "Listen Up" to her during the band's encore. Our thoughts and best wishes go out to Shane, his mom, and his family.

Jose from Houston Calls was kicked out of the band. Drama watch...
From the BlogOur good "friend" Jose has decided to shack up with my (Tom) ex-girlfriend immediately after she broke my heart and left me. The two hid it from me for weeks over christmas and only until yesterday when I had to find out was I informed. Great guy! Stand up guy! Well to put it bluntly he's out of the band for good and hopefully lives a terrible life forever. I don't know what's going to happen yet but I'll be sure to keep everyone informed.

Okie from Houston Calls has written a blog encouraging fans to purchase the new album as opposed to downloading it. Their new album, The End of an Error, hits stores and online retailers tomorrow.
Okie's BlogOur 2nd CD is finally going to be out in stores on Tuesday. It's the culmination of a lot of blood, sweat, and fears, and we couldn't be prouder of the product. We know, we know... it's been too damn long. Down to business. The reason I write this is that I wanted to make an impassioned plea to anyone reading this to support struggling artists, ourselves not-so-coincidentally included.

I'm sitting here, drafting this thing at work. Yes, work. It may surprise some people to know...

Click here to read my interview with Tom of Houston Calls.
From the InterviewThe old record was like a flat lining patient. The new CD has dynamics, and doesn't leave you thinking "wasn't that the same song over and over again?" We worked hard under the wing of the great Mark Weinberg to create something not to be completely expected, yet not so far off as to shock. I don't think you can lump us into the pop punk realm of bands like All Time Low, We the Kings, and bands of the like. They are all good bands, but that's not really us. We're more of a power slob. I think our CD has a lot more to offer to more people than our old CD.

Houston Calls have posted a blog regarding their new record.
Message from the BandJarrett here! Well we have been out of the studio for a bit over 3 weeks and I think it's time for an update. We are on the final stages of the mixing and then it's off to mastering. We are moving along with artwork and trying to get everything done and ready so this record can finally come out....I think our friend Nick Jones said it best when he told us Tupac has released more material in the past 3 years then we have...I think it will all be worth the wait that is for sure....

The Ridin Dirty tour with A Change of Pace is also approaching. We are trying to put together the best set possible for our fans...
