Lambgoat has uncovered a Facebook conversation where a band, Lawskof, calls out Taking Back Sunday for stealing a riff from one of their songs.
It's difficult to discern just how much animosity Hardwick harbors, but the main riff of each song sounds pretty much identical.

Itís just part of life, and I donít read the internet except for my Twitter feed, so I donít see what other bands are up to or what other people are saying about our band. Iím a grown-ass man. Iíve got enough going on in my life with my wife and my kid, and Iím just a pretty happy guy. Iím living my dream, so when thereís drama, I donít care or really even give it much of a second thought because it doesnít mean anything. People get all hyped up about stuff on the internet for a couple days, and everyone likes complaining and bitching and moaning and talking shit and at the end of the day, it doesnít change my...

Few bands in our scene have inspired more young artists than Taking Back Sunday. 15 of those acts - including Everyone Dies In Utah, Blue of Colors, Icarus the Owl, July and more - will take part in Pacific Ride Records' A Tribute to Taking Back Sunday, due out on April 14th. Traditions took their cover of "Set Phasers to Stun" one step further by making a music video for it. In the replies is where you want to be to watch it. The Massachusetts pop punk group's adaptation of the fan favorite track maintains the dual vocals that made the original so catchy but throws in a few curve balls to make it their own.
Alex DiVincenzo on 03/09/15 - 06:14 AM
Taking Back Sunday's Adam Lazzarra, via OC Weekly, which, okay:
When asked about playing a song like "There's No 'I' In Team," which directly references a longstanding feud with the band Brand New (specifically front man/former Taking Back Sunday bassist Jesse Lacey), Lazzara continues to add fuel to the old fire. "I think Jesse Lacey is just a dick," he says. "He just sucks. He's not a good person." Lazzarra goes on, "Who am I to say?", he says. "There's somebody out there that's gonna say I'm not a good person. I don't know."

Taking Back Sunday kicked off their latest tour with letlive. and The Menzingers last week. Their stop in Austin was a sold-out, non-stop party. I've grown a little bit jaded by the number of Taking Back Sunday sets I've seen at this point (#humblebrag), but each show is always just as energetic as the last. Catch a few photos from the show in the replies, as well as a link to a full gallery on our Facebook page.

Adam of Taking Back Sunday talked with MTV. They touch on that whole "emo revival" thing.
I was like, "What the fuck are you talking about? You can't revive something tha's never been dead." I've been working real hard for a long time; I haven't stopped. Yeah, so all of that is to say, I don't really have much of an opinion about it. I mean if people are listening to our music because of it I guess that's cool. Whatever it's going to take for people to give us a chance, I don't give a shit.

My last solo album came out almost 5 years ago now, and then Taking Back Sunday has put out 2 albums since then. A lot of what Iíve been working on has gone to Taking Back Sunday, but here and there Iíve had ideas for songs that Iíve put aside. In the past year there was a quick burst of stuff that came out after Taking Back Sundayís album that I was feeling like ďOh my gosh, here it isĒ,...

John Nolan is the guest on this week's Voice and Verse Podcast.
I donít know if you remember, but on the original demos we released, there was a song called ďItís Everybodyís Fault But MineĒ and one called ďA Slow Descent.Ē Those two were more about the experience of being in Taking Back Sunday, and I made a conscious decision to leave those off the record Ė not because of what I was saying in it or being too honest, but because people were overly obsessed with that. I had also just come off the Taking Back Sunday and Brand New ďfeud,Ē and that stuff got pretty old pretty quick to me.
