I think you got to make your case. Seventh grade, I wanted to be on the basketball team. I didnít get on the team, so that summer I practiced. I was on the summer league. My team won the championship; I was the point guard. And then when I went for eighth grade, I practiced and I hit every free throw, every layup, and the next day I looked on this chart, and my name wasnít on it. I asked the coach whatís up, and they were like, ďYouíre just not on it.Ē I was...

At the listening party, Kanye confirmed that Daft Punk worked on 3-4 of the songs, Rick Rubin executive produced the album and that a new track entitled, "Can't Handle My Liquor," will feature Justin Vernon (Bon Iver) and Chief Keef.
The Huffington Post has written a well thought out article detailing the rise Kanye West, how he has become the most "egotistical" man in music, the lyrical messages behind "Black Skinhead" and "New Slaves" and more. If you've got a spare ten minutes, I highly suggest giving this a read.
And for as miserable as his wealth has made him by this point (see "Hit the mall, pick up some Gucci/ Now ain't nothing new but your shoes" from 2011's "Murder to Excellence"), he anticipated this back in 2003 in the College Dropout days. Despite being more narratively framed and mildly worded, "All Falls Down" is very thematically similar to "New Slaves" a decade prior: "Shine because they hate us/...
Pre-orders for Kanye West's new album, Yeezus, were accidentally placed online earlier today and shortly taken down thereafter. But people were quick to grab a shot of the album artwork which you can find in the replies.

If you would rather just watch his performance of "Suit & Tie" and "Mirrors," you can do so by going here and here respectively. According to SPIN, at a show in Paris last night Kanye West made what seems to be a vague reference to his much-anticipated follow-up to My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, saying "I've been working on my new shit. I'll be back in a couple of months." Whether that is all talk or rooted in reality remains to be seen, but jump to the replies for a video clip of the statement taken by a fan.
Update: Looks like this was all an elaborate hoax. Shame, could have really used a new Kanye album to make up for the mediocrity that is Cruel Summer. - DB
Rumors are flying on the Internet that Kanye Westmay be releasing a new album on October 23 (of this year). The website BlackAmericanPsycho.com appears to be registered to Def Jam Records and have Kanye's name on it. Whatever "Black American Psycho" is, the image in the replies suggests that it will be out on October 23. Do you think it's a new album? A single, maybe?
It's that time of year again. The one day in the entire year where MTV plays music videos during primetime hours (well snippets at least). For a channel that only shows full length music videos in the wee hours of the night, I find it hilarious that this awards show is still a thing. Anyways, some of the artists we cover have a prominent role in tonight's spectacle. This year's breakout band fun. is nominated for a handful of awards, including "Best New Artist" where they'll be against Frank Ocean and Joe DeAndrea's favorite artists One Direction and Carly Rae Jepsen. Ocean will also be performing live, as will be Green Day and Taylor Swift, who will be slut-shaming someone. In...
