Vinnie from Less Than Jake has once again updated his journal.
Journal Entry PreviewWe started writing a few new songs, mostly I have a stack of potential lyrics about lighting myself on fire, relgion versus work, a few people I know, and the meaning of music to me. A caustic start to a record chris promised (or misquoted) ďyouíd actually likeĒ. For me I loved most of the songs on IN WITH THE OUT CROWD but thought it was over produced and it bled any energy out of it, as Iíve said before. This record, I have a lot thatís been going on in my head lately and Iíd like to communicate it with how Iíve been feeling which is restless but positive, hopeful but lost, and learning from the past...

Look for a two-month Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish and Streetlight Manifesto North American tour this summer; dates will be announced soon.

Less Than Jake will be performing a different album each night during a six-night stay at London's Mean Fiddler from September 11-16. Each album will be performed in its entirety, along with the b-sides and rarities associated with that CD, just as they did during a 6-show stint in February.

You thought artist development was just for label weasels? You're wrong. Loren Israel has been doing it for years. He started out at Capitol and went on to discover and develop the likes of Jimmy Eat World, Less Than Jake, Plain White T's, and Rock Kills Kid, among many others. Luke Wood (AFI, Brand New, All American Rejects) seems to like what Loren has done - He just signed upstarts Midnight Hour to Interscope records. Check out Loren's "Band Boot Camp" on MySpace and learn the ropes of the industry. Watch the video and listen to testimonials - Loren is the real deal.
