Little Boots's new video for "New In Town" can be found in the replies; it's the first single off of her debut album Hands which is out in the UK in June. She won the BBC Sound of 2009 award last year as the most hotly tipped artist of the new year.

Going out with a bang for SXSW is something that is pretty much an expected thing - Saturday generally has the most late-night parties, surprise sets by big-name artists and events of that sort. After barely being able to see any shows on Friday because of meetings, I more than made up for it on Saturday (I know it's Monday now, but Sunday was spent traveling back to LA and recovering from SXSW in general).
I started off the day by seeing a the lasts shows for a couple of the bands I work with, Telepathe and

Little Boots has been named #1 in the BBC Sound of 2009 survey of the most promising musical talent of the new year. Past winners include 50 Cent, Keane, Corinne Bailey Rae, Mika and Adele.

Little Boots will be playing a few shows in LA and New York next month and will also be on the cover of the new issue of FADER Magazine out next week; you can see the cover in the replies.

Little Boots, featured in our Absolute 100, will be releasing her debut American EP called Arecibo in November, produced by Joe Goddard of Hot Chip and Greg Kurstin (Bird And The Bee, producer of Lily Allen). It will be out digitally and on 12" vinyl.
