Lostprophets have begun recording their new album with John Feldmann (The Used, Atreyu) in Los Angeles, CA. The album is expected to be released in early 2008 and is said to be "darker, quirkier and generally more apocalyptic" according to the band.

According to the band's MySpace, Lostprophets will be releasing their follow-up to 2004's Start Something on June 27th. The new effort will be entitled Liberation Transmission.

In the latest issue of Alternative Press, Ian Watkins of Lostprophets said the new album will be 13 tracks long and is scheduled for an April or May 2006 release. The album was produced by Bob Rock (Metallica, Simple Plan), who apparently threw out about 30 lyrics Ian had written for the album.
