Tim Palmer (U2, Pearl Jam) will be mixing Melee's upcoming major label debut. The band has also finished up tracking their new album; a release date should be announced soon.

Melee has posted a new video update on their MySpace page of them recording their new album with producer Howard Benson. The band finished drums and piano last week and will begin recording guitar and bass this week.

Melee has put up a video of Chris performing a piano version of "The War" on their MySpace page.

I know I just posted about Melee this morning but another new update has come in. They've announced that the producer they'll be working with is, of course, Howard Benson (All American Rejects, Rooney, MCR, Head Automatica). They have almost 30 songs done right now and are trying to narrow it down. The new album will be piano-heavy.

Melee will be entering the studio to record their new album at the end of April and will hopefully be putting it out sometime in the Fall. A yet-unnamed producer has been picked.

Melee are currently writing songs and are in the process of searching for a producer for the new record. The band hopes to have the release out by early summer.
