Microwave, which as I wrote, is a band that you should listen to if you haven't already, has announced a run of dates at the end of this month and throughout most of March that will culminate in an appearance at Audiotree's SXSW showcase. The full dates are in the replies. Their debut LP, Stovall, is available for pre-order via Antique Records now.

Yesterday, we posted about Hopeless Records signing Dryjacket, a group that's probably #1 on my list of bands that people should be watching out for in 2015. The other band that's at the top of that list is Microwave, which I only heard for the first time a couple weeks ago -- their debut LP Stovall is being released by Antique Records. To support the release, the band has dropped a music video for the title track from that album, which you can stream in the replies. They remind me of a slightly unpolished version of what All Get Out was when they released The Season, so if that sounds tasty to you, check out the song in the replies as well as their other single, "Trash Stains," which is...

This week on the Self Promotion Forum, I found the wonderful Microwave. Microwave are a melodic post-hardcore band from Georgia who have just released their third EP, When The Fever Breaks, as 'name your price' through their Bandcamp. If you like Taking Back Sunday or the idea of Jimmy Eat World with a bit more edge, Microwave are the band for you. Interested in being a part of the Self-Promotion Spotlight? It's easy, just sign up for an AbsolutePunk.net account and post in the Self-Promotion forum.

It's tough to put my finger on who to compare Microwave to. I hear some influence of Jimmy Eat World, Balance and Composure, and even hints of modern pop-punk bands like Real Friends. Whatever the case may be, the band has a new EP When The Fever Breaks coming out next week and we're premiering the track "Labor Day" for you. Listen in the replies and leave your thoughts.
