Hey everyone, apologies for the radio silence these last couple of days. After what happened we've all taken some time to reflect but we had to speak up today to give our heartfelt thanks. First and foremost, to those who've reached out tooffer their sympathies or who've kept Alberto and his family in their thoughts and prayers. In particular to all those who donated to his family; after only a few days they have almost reached their fundraising goal. If you can spare any amount, no matter how small, it will be greatly appreciated. You can do so here.
As many of you will have heard, Alberto Scott, a Miss May I fan in attendance at our Webster Hall show on Saturday nighttragically died. We were deeply shocked and saddened to hear this news. We are awaiting a full report from the New York Police Department. In the meantime, we’d ask that all your thoughts and prayers be with his family. We’ve be made aware of a webpage that is raising funds to help pay for his funeral costs. We will be making a contribution and we’d strongly urge others to do so.
Update 5/5, 11:21am ET: A Brooklyn Vegan post includes an update from the Studio at Webster Hall, which is the venue where the incident occurred: "Webster Hall says that despite what people are saying at Miss May I's Facebook, 'the patron in question did not die while stage diving. The patron collapsed while exiting the venue, as video footage and the police corroborate.'" The band is expected to make a statement once they are legally allowed to. We will keep this post updated. - Thomas Nassiff

This one was a lot of pressure just to follow through with it and I guess not being scared and jump back to our first record, because I feel like that’s what a lot of people thought we were going to do.
Miss May I will enter the studio on August 14th with producer Terry Date to begin working on their fourth studio album. It's due out in Spring 2014 via Rise Records.
Miss May I has been a wild ride for all of us since the beginning. From starting out in a basement in a small Ohio town, listening to our favorite bands, and just trying to play shows, all the way up to now, about to record our fourth full length album. As a long time fan, I am ecstatic to announce that we will be working with Terry Date on our next record. Growing up jamming Deftones, White Zombie, and Pantera, it's a dream come true to be working with the man who helped capture some of their greatest work. As if that...
We don’t know a release date. We’re hoping for this year. We’re shooting really hard for this year but it might be early next year. We’re going to a really big producer this time, which we’re really excited about, and changing up the team again. We’re trying to change it every record just to see what we can do. I guess since we got a lot of acceptance on our last record, we have a more open door to doing crazier stuff. We were like dumbing it down a little bit before and now we can go full out. We’re working with Terry Date, he did...
PropertyOfZack was pretty busy today, considering it was a Friday. They have a Road Noms blog from Dan of Set Your Goals, a few Cartel live videos that you can watch in the replies, a couple of playlist features from States and Falling In Reverse/Miss May I, and some new stuff in their merch store.
Miss May I will enter The Machine Shop studios starting in early January to begin work on their 3rd release for Rise Records, which is tentatively scheduled to drop in spring 2012. The LP will be produced by Machine (Chiodos, Every Time I Die, Lamb Of God, Four Year Strong) and according to bassist/clean vocalist Ryan Neff, will be the band's "most metal and dynamic release thus far."
