 | | | | | | | | | | | | On June 25th, Mixtapes will be releasing Ordinary Silence, its second LP for No Sleep Records. It's a marked improvement over the band's 2012 album and one of my favorite pop-punk releases of the year thus far. Today, we're giving you a tasty morsel from the record, a brand new song titled "C.C.S." You can check it out in the replies or over at the band's AP.net profile. You can pre-order Ordinary Silence here. On Friday, the band will be taking over our Instagram account as well as chatting on the site next week Tuesday. | | | Drew Beringer on 06/12/13 - 09:31 AM | 19 Replies - | | | | |

 | | | | | | | | | | | | PropertyOfZack recently interviewed Ryan Rockwell of Mixtapes and confirmed that the band will be recording a new album this March. They also talked about a handful of bands within the scene. Read it all here. POZ: More than guitar. Much more than you practice the guitar. Jason Tate would agree too.
Ryan: Does Jason Tate even know how to play guitar? | | | Drew Beringer on 02/19/13 - 01:53 PM | 43 Replies - | | | | |

 | | | | | | | | | | | | Head to the replies to check out Mixtapes performing acoustic versions of three songs, including two from their new album, Even On the Worst Nights. It comes out June 26 via No Sleep Records. | | | Thomas Nassiff on 06/07/12 - 07:47 PM | 40 Replies - | | | | |
 | | | | | | | | | | | | Mixtapes has released a joke album - which is 26 songs and about 40 minutes - of songs that were recorded during the recording process for its upcoming debut full-length, Even On The Worst Nights, for free download. The joke album is called Songs To Start A Revolution To and it has been released under the band name "Sundrinker." Mixtapes wants you to know that "nothing about this is serious so don't expect any good songs or anything that's like our real music." They add that they can assure us "that No Sleep Records is very happy that we took their money for recording and also came out with this." | | | Thomas Nassiff on 05/22/12 - 09:41 AM | 33 Replies - | | | | |
