Morrissey has apologized to the Arctic Monkeys regarding his recent comments about the band and their quick success:
NME ArticleThe singer was quoted criticising the band's rapid success while at the South By South West festival last week (March 15), suggesting it was too soon and "a bit unnatural".

However Morrissey has issued a further statement to NME.COM, explaining he was not criticising the Sheffield newcomers.

Morrissey was apparently questioned by FBI and British Intelligence after speaking out against the American and British governments. The singer is a famous critic of the US-led war in Iraq, and has dubbed President George W. Bush a "terrorist" -- but he was baffled to be hauled in by authorities.
