Motion City Soundtrack will be releasing the deluxe edition of Commit This To Memory on Tuesday, June 20th. This release includes: the album, Hooray For The Madness DVD (which includes live concert footage from a recent show at 7th Street Entry in Minneapolis and a documentary about the band), an exclusive video for "L.G. FUAD," and a previously unreleased song, "Invisible Monsters." I had the pleasure of watching the DVD last night and it's extremely well-done, a must for hardcore fans and those of you who just enjoy a good band DVD here and there.
Motion City Sountrack just wrapped up three months of touring with their sets at Bamboozle and Flipside. The band would like to thank everyone for making their headlining tour and MTVu Campus Invasion run amazing. More live footage from the "Campus Invasion" Tour has been posted at MTVu. The band is now headed to Japan, Australia, and Hawaii before making it back to the states for Warped Tour.
Motion City Soundtrack will have a song on the soundtrack for the upcoming movie, John Tucker Must Die, which is coming out this summer and stars: Jesse Metcalfe, Sophia Bush, Brittany Snow, Ashanti and Jenny McCarthy. There is also a contest where an "undiscovered" band could join the band (as well as Nada Surf, OK Go, and more) on the soundtrack.
Motion City Soundtrack's headlining tour ended last night in Detroit, MI; more than 30 sold-out shows across the country, and one of the coolest line-ups for support bands I've seen in a long time. The band takes just one day off before going out and headlining the MTVu Campus Invasion Tour with Straylight Run and hellogoodbye.
Motion City Soundtrack is recording a new song today. I'd love to tell you more about it, like where it'll end up and so forth, but I fear their lunatic manager. So, for now, I'll keep my mouth shut; stay tuned.
Sorry I'm a day late with this, but I have a lot going on "behind-the-scenes" so I'm juggling quite a few things. Anyway, below you'll find my review for the Motion City Soundtrack show that took place this past Sunday, March 19th at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC. The Format, The Matches, and Men Women & Children were on the bill as well.

Tony Thaxton, drummer of Motion City Soundtrack, sustained a back injury that will put him out of commision for a little bit; however, he should be back very soon. The band will be playing acoustic sets until his return. Also, there is an illness in Funeral For A Friend, so tonight's show in Reading has been cancelled.
