PureVolume recently talked with Chris Wolstenholme of Muse, which you can read here.
From The InterviewSometimes you get really carried away with the amount of technology that you’ve got, and then other times you listen to an album like Pet Sounds and think ‘Wouldn’t it be great to create something that sounds as huge as that? That’s purely organic?’ And I think that’s what we tried to do with a couple of songs like “Explorers” on the new album—we wanted it to stay truly organic and just get that feel of loads of instruments going off in the same room together, you know?

The members of Muse have learned that legal action has been commenced in the US against their record company, Warner Music, alleging that the band's 2009 album, The Resistance, infringed copyright.
Response From SpokesmanThe claim is complete nonsense, and is categorically denied. It appears to be based on a 'screenplay' which the band never received or saw, produced by someone the band has never heard of. It speaks volumes that the album in question was released a full 3 years ago, and yet this is the first that has been heard of these groundless allegations. Warner Music will aggressively defend this lawsuit, and the band is exploring what remedies may be available to them in the US...

From the ArticleThen asked what people could expect to hear on the album, he added: "We've tried a bunch of new things, which the trailer gives a glimpse of. There's only one song that's like that. We've basically tried to do what Rage Against The Machine did with hip-hop in the 1990s and take a bit of the electronic world and dubstep and play it with real instruments. There's only one track like that, the rest of it is very...
