We are excited to announce that A Will Away are releasing a new EP called Bliss on March 20th via Quiet Fire Media. The EP was produced by Gary Cioffi (Transit, Misser). We are premiering a new song off of it called "Cheap Wine," which you can hear below. The steady and somber guitars give the vocals a greater clarity, but the bass keeps your ears tuned in early on as it contrasts with the guitars and vocals. Rather than heavily focusing on a chorus or hook, "Cheap Wine" lets each instrument resonate. Those of you who miss The Dangerous Summer or enjoy The American Scene's Safe For Now should like this one. If you like what you hear, you can pre-order the EP. New tour dates are also...

The Japanese House is a brand new artist who debuted the track "Still" from the forthcoming Pools To Bathe In EP which is released on April 27th via Dirty Hit. And not only do they all share the same label, but if you're a fan of the haunting EP style tracks of The 1975 or my recent recommendation of Marika Hackman's debut album...you should check this out in the replies. Not only that, but it was produced by Matty Healy and George Daniels of The 1975.

Buffalo's Del Paxton is the latest band to sign to Topshelf Records' incredible lineup and we have a new song from the band's upcoming 7" split with Gulfer. Del Paxton's brand of emo/indie/you name it is infectious as it is heavy-hitting. But don't take my word for it, check out the band's killer new track, "Bad Batch," in the replies and then pre-order the split (in stores 4/7) from Topshelf.

Steady/Steady have been working on some music with Michael Govaere (ex-Every Avenue). We are premiering a new song called "Pseudo" - give it a listen in the replies. The song is built up by a constant kick-drum, and the chorus sounds more like a William Beckett solo track than the southern rock tinge of Every Avenue, equipped with "oh-oh-oh's" and everything. It was mastered by John Naclerio at Nada Recording Studio (Brand New, My Chemical Romance). If you like what you hear, be on the look out for the band's debut EP in April.

"Stay weird, stay different." Graham Moore's candid acceptance speech for Best Adapted Screenplay for The Imitation Game was one of the most talked about moments of the Oscars, as he brought to light the subject of suicide. Similarly, a compilation titled To Show That You're Still Here will be released tomorrow to benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Head to the replies to hear the recently-disbanded Secret Plot to Destroy the Entire Universe's inclusion, "Untitled #6." It reminds me of something from Pianos Become the Teeth's Keep You. You can pre-order the effort for only $5 to support the cause. The comp also features The Hotelier, Banquets, Beach Slang and more.

Scarlett Johansson is not a stranger to the music world and now she has formed a group that is "super-pop" with Este Haim (Haim), Holly Miranda, Kendra Morris and Julie Haltigan called The Singles. The first track "Candy" was produced by Dave Sitek (TV On The Radio) and will be released on his Federal Prism label, you can also hear it in the replies.
"The idea was to write super-pop dance music written and performed by girls," Johansson said in a press release. "I love Grimes. And I love the Bangles. And I love the Go-Go's. I wanted it to be like those bands: ultra pop but also a little ironic, a little in on the joke."

Italian group Platonick Dive released their fantastic new album Overflow this week via Black Candy Records and you can now stream it in the replies. Toronto-based Cedar Boulevard have recently trekked across North America on tour and are now unveiling their "hard-hitting" self-titled EP. Already critically acclaimed and drawing comparisons to You, Me and Everyone We Know, My Chemical Romance and early era-A Day To Remember crossed with Pierce The Veil instrumentals this is a pop-punk band for those who like theirs to have a real bite. Founded after two members left their lives in Australia to put their all into their music, this is a band who cares passionately about their craft and are ready to cement themselves in the scene. Listen to their brand new self-titled EP, which was released just this week, in the replies.

Head North will release a new EP called Bloodlines on March 24th via Bad Timing Records. We are premiering the first single called "The Planet." The song has a lot of elements that remind me of what I love about bands like Have Mercy. The vocals start off in the spotlight, with only a pallid drumbeat and distant bass, before the chorus lets frontman Brent Martone let his emotion loose - both vocally and lyrically. Fans of Have Mercy's The Earth Pushed Back should really enjoy this one, as it makes it pretty clear why they're on the road together. Give it a listen in the replies to see what I mean, where you'll also find tour dates. If you like what you hear, I'm confident you'll enjoy...
