PropertyOfZack is reporting that Frank Iero of My Chemical Romance has started a new "electronic hardcore" band called Death Spells with James Dewees (The Get Up Kids, Reggie and the Full Effect).
James: I have this other thing going with Frank from MCR called Death Spells. We’re opening up for Mindless Self Indulgence in two or three weeks. It’s more like an electronic-hardcore project. We’ve been working with a visual graphics artist and he’s been making these insane videos for us. The music is al little more intense...

My Chemical Romance are breaking up.
Being in this band for the past 12 years has been a true blessing. We've gotten to go places we never knew we would. We've been able to see and experience things we never imagined possible. We've shared the stage with people we admire, people we look up to, and best of all, our friends. And now, like all great things, it has come time for it to end. Thanks for all of your support, and for being part of the adventure.

Gerard Way will be releasing the first issue of The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys on June 12th.
Years ago, the Killjoys fought against the tyrannical megacorporation Better Living Industries, costing them their lives, save for one—the mysterious Girl. Today, the followers of the original Killjoys languish in the Desert while BLI systematically strips citizens of their individuality. As the fight for freedom fades, it’s left to the Girl to take up the mantle and bring down the fearsome BLI or else join the mindless ranks of Bat City!

Message from Frank IeroPlease allow me to take a trip down memory avenue for just a minute…. in the year 2008 it was the best of times, it was the worst of times…after years of constant work and travel, The Black Parade had come and gone, and as a band My Chemical Romance had achieved almost every goal we had set for it. Records were sold, doors were kicked in, enemies made and vanquished…I really felt we had made a difference. If there was...

My Chemical Romance are building their own studio to record.
From the ArticleBack in L.A. we just got a studio so we’re kind of building that out and basically trying to make a compound where we can be creative and be there whenever we want to be. That’s the tough thing doing records in a cycle and you have three or four months where you have to write and record a record and sometimes that’s tough. You can take longer, but you always feel like there’s something over your head like a time constraint and now we’ll have our own place where we can go and make music 24 hours a day. It’s gonna be great!

It's contest time! One of the long-term goals of this website is to introduce you, the reader, to new music. We love it when you check out a new band we're posting about, reviewing, or you see a member talking about in the forums. That's one of the main reasons we do what we do. It was behind that motive that this website moved from being a fan site to a full-blown community. Now, the two bands we're running a contest for today (blink-182 and My Chemical Romance) don't really need any introduction. They're two of the biggest bands in our entire little ecosystem. However, they weren't always selling out stadiums. Back in the day ... they were small bands, just begging for fans...
