Here's a little something to get you all amped up before the Team USA game today: Noisey has written an article ranking Drive Thru Records' releases from bad to really bad. The label's co-founder, Stephanie Reines, weighed in with her thoughts, of course:
This is a GREAT tribute! The list of “worst” bands on our shitty-ass label reminds me JUST HOW GOOD our bands were and still are. Many of them still touring with fanbases bigger than ever! Fuck, me & Richard Reines have such good taste in music. And our branding was good enough to stand the test of time. They’re STILL talking about DTR 15+ years later. Bottom line: DTR AND OUR BANDS RULE! Hey, so does our former staff!

Noisey published a really interesting interview with Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst. The site also premiered his new film The Truth. I recommend it.
I’m a simple person. I’m just me. I’m no more special than anybody. I think people are like, “What’s so special about that fuckin’ guy? Nothing! He gets on my fuckin’ nerves!” I go, “Well, I get on my nerves too. What the hell am I doing here? What happened?” It’s crazy. I just have some stories inside of me that I need to tell. I feel compelled to put them out and to give them away, for people to react to. It seems like everything I do, meaning finds me later.

Mariel Loveland (Candy Hearts) recently wrote a column for Noisey on "how to survive being the only girl in a band."
Your bandmates are your family, which means you take care of each other always. This could mean wing-manning your bassist the perfect lady when he’s feeling down on his luck, sharing cold medicine, using the band credit card to buy Chipotle when morale is low, having your bandmates walk you to the car at night in a dangerous city, or letting them carry you to a hotel room, take off your shoes, and put you to bed when you’ve had one whiskey past your limit.

Noisey has interviewed Evan Weiss of Into It. Over It. Spoiler alert: they talk about what it means to be emo in 2014 and meeting John C. Reilly.
Talking to [Pitchfork’s] Ian Cohen, his opinion is just like, “Well you know, the records are better.” And I would say that that’s true, I think a lot of the bands involved are writing really great records now and figuring out who they want to be in the end, how they want the shit to sound. We’re all in uncharted territory.
