Oh, Sleeper guitarist James Erwin is leaving the band.

Statement

James here, I come baring bittersweet news. I'm stepping down from Oh Sleeper early next year after our Australia/New Zealand tour. After nearly 7 years, 3 records, an EP, countless tours and endless memories, I'm ready to move on. I'll be forever grateful for the support of our fans. Thank you for everything you've done for us that made this dream a reality. I never deserved this. If I've left any mark on your lives I hope it's this: Never give up on your dreams because they really can come true if work hard and pursue them with everything you've got.

Dead Poetic vocalist Brandon Rike has teamed up with Lucas Starr (Oh, Sleeper) to form At Night We Strike.

Oh, Sleeper has posted a new song called "Vices Like Vipers" on their myspace. They are shooting a video for this song next month with Endeavor Media. Their new album, When I Am God comes out next Tuesday, October 23, on Solid State.

Oh, Sleeper have released the album version of "The Siren's Song" for stream on their myspace. Their new Solid State Records record, When I Am God, is scheduled for release on October 23.
