Brendon Urie (Panic! at the Disco) did an interview with PrideSource about "Girls/Girls/Boys" and the message and inspiration behind the song.
The biggest summarization of the whole song in general is in the lyric "Love is not a choice," which I completely believe. I'm proud of who I am and I'm gonna act accordingly. It's really kind of loosely based on the majority of relationships I've been in, even now with my wife. Yeah, she's attracted to girls, and I think some men are extremely attractive and I don't wanna hide it. I have no shame in it. I like being able to shed some light on that. It's nice to be able to open up like that.

PureVolume recently spoke with Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco about the band's upcoming new album, marriage, and spirituality.
I mean, when we left Vegas, we were 17 years old, so we had a bitter attitude. We didn’t have the opportunity to play any shows there because you had to be 21 and over to play any gig, because most of the venues were in bars. So when we left, we were like ‘What the hell?’ We didn’t really get to do anything that we wanted to do. But having gone back now, and getting to be of age and participate in things, you see the world in a different light.

Brendon Urie has posted a blog about the current status of Panic! at the Disco.
Today is August 6th 2013, and it’s become evident Spencer still needs more time to take care of himself. I can’t expect him to be fighting addiction one minute and be fully immersed in a national tour the next. With all that said, the tour will continue without Spencer while he is away getting the help he needs. Thank you all for your support and kind words.

Panic! at the Disco drummer Spencer Smith wrote a blog detailing his recent struggles with drug addiction. He entered treatment last fall and is now clean.
For the past 4 and a half years I’ve been battling addiction. Well, to be honest, I’ve really been battling it for the last two years. Those first 2 and a half years were spent in a place where I thought I had finally found the correct dosage of my personally prescribed medicine to feel “normal"…..In reality, I was mostly stumbling through my life hoping no one noticed I was high.

Growing up I never used drugs or alcohol. I smoked weed and had my first drink in the same night when I was 19. I loved it, and from that point on...

Panic! At The Disco talk about their new record with MTV.
"It's similar in that it's eclectic;" he told MTV News. "But this time around, the songs are pretty different. One song sounds like it could be an '80s, Depeche Mode type deal, another sounds like a mix of a Toto drum part with, like, weird arena-rock guitars. There were a lot of things I was pulling from; I listened to a lot of hip hop actually, like A$AP Rocky ... all the new stuff that's coming out was blowing my mind.

"Hip hop is doing the new rock thing; there are no rules," he continued. "They can do anything, really. And that's inspiring."

And, in a telling nod to those hip-hop influences, Too Rare also sees a shift...

Produced by Butch Walker (Fall Out Boy, Weezer), “TOO WEIRD TO LIVE, TOO RARE TO DIE!” sees the band paying homage to their Las Vegas roots via a glittery sonic approach inspired by their ever-increasing collection of vintage and modern synthesizers.
