Paper + Plastick Records has launched a new comic book series called Story/Song where an artist and writer create a story that is inspired by a song. The song for the first release is "6'10" by Flatfoot 56. The comic book is available in their webstore for $1 digitally and $5 physically. The next release will feature the music of No Use For A Name as performed by The Swellers in honor of Tony Sly.
The signing that Paper + Plastick Records was teasing yesterday is Buffalo, NY's Pentimento. The band will release its debut self-titled full-length record on November 13 via the label. Black Numbers will be handling the CD and cassette release of the album. Paper + Plastick Records have revealed the mystery band they've been teasing this year to be Jr. Juggernaut. The band will release its second full-length, Wake, on August 28 via the label. You can download a brand-new song called "Tonight Come Home" for free from the label's webstore, and if you download it, you're entered to win a test pressing and normal copy of the vinyl. The record packaging will have a thin mirror on the front cover screen-printed with the album art - which you can check out in the replies.

Flatfoot 56 will premiere its first single from the band's upcoming full-length, Toil, on Mike Davies' BBC Radio 1 Punk Rock Show tomorrow, Tuesday the 15th, at 7 p.m. EST / midnight in the UK. The song is called "I Believe It" and Toil is out July 24 via Paper + Plastick Records.
Paper + Plastick Recordshas announced a new comic book/music project called "Story/Song." The project will feature one 12-page comic book a month that is written based on a song. Paper + Plastick Records has launched its 12 Days of Streams with a stream of Dave Hause's Resolutionshere. The label will be streaming one release from 2011 per day for the next 12 weekdays, giving fans a chance to catch up on any records they might have missed from the label this year. Flatfoot 56will release a brand-new full-length on Paper + Plastick Records in early 2012. A free song, a cover of an old folk/gospel song called "I'll Fly Away" by Albert E. Brumley, can be downloaded here. The song is not from the upcoming full-length.
Paper + Plastick's first physical comic book, "Words and Panels Vol. 1," is now available for purchase here. It contains printed copies of the first installments of the label's three running webcomics. The webcomics can all still be downloaded for free here.
