Phantom Planet will be reuniting in early 2012 and playing a few shows, and possibly making a new EP. A video of their first rehearsal since their hiatus can be seen in the replies. Looks like 2012 will be picking up where 2011 left off ... reunions are all the rage.

UpdateThis could be the most difficult piece of news we have ever had to post. Sadly, Phantom Planet will be playing our last show, December 12, at the Troubadour in Los Angeles, the same venue that we played our very first live all ages gig, back in 1994. Bryce Avary of The Rocket Summer has announced that the band will be doing a headlining tour in September with Phantom Planet, The Secret Handshake, and The Morning Light as support. The tour will be The Rocket Summer's last before taking some time off to write for their new album. Dates will be available in a few weeks. The video announcement can be seen in the replies.
