Pussy Riot are going to be freed under amnesty. In other news, Putin is still a dick.
The Kremlin leader made clear he had no doubts about Russia's handling of both cases although it drew criticism from Western nations and a number of global celebrities. "I was not sorry that they (the Pussy Riot members) ended up behind bars," Putin said. "I was sorry that they were engaged in such disgraceful behaviour, which in my view was degrading to the dignity of women."

Reports are coming in that Pussy Riot may soon be free.
We’ve just spoken to Pyotr Verzilov, husband of imprisoned member Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, who is confirming the rumors about both members, Nadya and Maria Alyokhina, being freed under the amnesty bill being submitted by the Kremlin to parliament to mark the Russian constitution’s 20th anniversary on Thursday. Nadya’s father Andrei has also been able to confirm this from “reliable sources.”

“It’s from the Kremlin and official already, they will be freed,” Pyotr told us today. Though he added, “We do not know yet when this will happen, because it is unclear when the bill will be voted by the Duma and how fast it will be applied to...

Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, the missing jailed Pussy Riot member, has reportedly turned up at a hospital in the Siberian region of Krasnoyarsk.
"She was in good condition. She said her conditions were OK," Verzilov said by phone. "She's not sick right now, she’s just having procedures and tests related to the hunger strike." Verzilov added that conditions at the hospital were satisfactory. Although the facility does treat tuberculosis, it functions as an ordinary hospital. The activist had been missing for 24 days, after she was abruptly moved from a camp in Mordovia, where she had been serving her sentence. She told Verzilov that during the time of her disappearance, she had been kept from...

Jailed Pussy Riot member Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, who went "missing" last week, is being sent to a prison colony in the depths of Siberia, according to her relatives and lawyers.
Tolokonnikova's husband Petya Verzilov says that he's received "100 percent reliable" information that indicates that Nadya is being moved to a prison in the Krasnoyarsk region, which is four times zones and 2,000 miles from Moscow.

Reports are coming in that imprisoned Pussy Riot member Nadezhda Tolokonnikova has been missing since Oct. 21 following a prison transfer.
Tolokonnikova's father and husband said they last knew her precise whereabouts on Oct. 21, when she was suddenly taken from her prison colony in the Russian republic of Mordovia and moved without explanation from Russian officials. "No one knows anything," her father, Andrei Tolokonnikov, said by telephone from Moscow. "There’s no proof she's alive, we don't know the state of her health. Is she sick? Has she been beaten?" Tolokonnikova, 23, was moved after launching a hunger strike to protest horrific prison conditions. She had also written an open...

Maria Alyokhina, of Pussy Riot, went on hunger strike yesterday. An interview with her from prison can be found here.
need a lot of time. I don’t have a problem trying to explain, it helps me see the situation clearer, but clearly propaganda is doing its dirty job. At any encounter people tend to take a negative view on the situation. Everyone I speak to in person changes their opinion after a single conversation. And people become fascinated with the story, showing real and honest interest. There are a lot of people who actually do want to change the country for the better, who admit they have no rights and feel lost.
