The Arcade Fire will begin recording their new album this month. They bought a church and converted it into a studio for the process. It appears we'll have to wait until fall for the release, though.

And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead is currently in the studio recording. However, they haven't decided whether what they're recording right now will be an EP or their next full length. If it turns out to be a full length, then they'll be working on it throughout the winter and will hopefully have it done by early spring, which means it'd be out in the summer or fall. If it ends up being an EP, it'll have four songs and will be out in the spring.

The Cardinal Sin will be entering Atlas Studios in Chicago, IL with producer Matt Allison (Alkaline Trio, The Lawrence Arms) and Neil Hennessy (The Lawrence Arms, Colossal) from January 9 - January 25 to record their debut full length. The release will be on Grey Flight Records who previously released the Oil and Water EP last March. 15 songs are slated to be recorded and the album is scheduled for an April 25, 2006 release date.

Coming off of a successful tour with David Melillo and Tourmaline, Cute Is What We Aim For will be taking the next few months to write and prepare to record...again. Expect more news on this soon.

Dead To Fall are heading to Trax East to begin recording the follow up to their 2004 album Villainy and Virtue with producer Eric Rachel. Paul Romano (Mastodon, Godflesh) will be doing the artwork for the album.

Boy Sets Fire have recently wrapped up the recording of their new album, The Misery Index: Notes From the Plague Years. A US release date through Equal Vision has yet to be established, however, you can find the album in stores in Europe on February 24th.

15 Minutes Late (Fearless Records) has started recording their 1st record for the label. They have joined forces with Sean O'Keefe (Fall Out Boy, Hawthorne Heights, Motion City Soundtrack) at his new studio in Chicago. The record is expected to be done around Dec. 14 for a spring release.

Moraine are headed to the studio with producer Jesse Canon (The Cure, Limp Bizkit, Senses Fail and Avenged Sevenfold to name a few) within the next few weeks to record a 5 song EP. There are rumors of guest vocalists, but no one can be confirmed at this time.

Forgive Durden just finished recording some new demos with producer Casey Bates. The guys will be shopping these demos around to interested labels so expect to see a few of them posted on their pureVOLUME.com page in the near future.

Forrest of hellogoodbye is halfway through recording the new album with Matt Mahaffey. Jack from Steel Train joined Forrest in the studio this past weekend for some guest banjo playing.
