Below is a message from Phil Pirrone (ex-A Static Lullaby) regarding the new band he has started with Nate Lindeman, also a former member of A Static Lullaby:
MessageHello Everyone. It's been about a month since I left A Static Lullaby, I wanted to let everyone know what was going on.

Currently, my new band is recording at NRG Studios in North Hollywood, CA. Sergio Chavez is engineering the session. Sergio has worked with Motorhead. NRG is sweet. Very nice. The drums are sounding fucking beefy. We don't have a name yet, but we will think of one soon. Songs are coming too quick and a name isn't coming at all......so bare with us. We plan on releasing some songs online soon and also...

Say Hi To Your Mom have wrapped up the recording process of their new album and are currently putting on the final touches. Read below for an update, which even includes a tentative tracklisting.
Say Hi To Your Mom UpdateWe've finished our stay at Lake Barcroft and I've retreated home to my newly-dubbed Bedington Manor to tidy up the mixes of the new record. As is always the case, songs were scrapped, re-imagined, revived and re-thunk, which is the unfortunate (fortunate?) byproduct of having too much time to work on a record. Still, we've emerged with 10 songs we are, for the most part, happy with. Williamsburg was quiet for the second half of December and putting in twelve hour days...

Brandtson have finished recording their new album, which will be entitled Hello, Control. Read an update from the band below.
Brandtson UpdateWe have recently finished recording our newest LP, which will be titled "Hello, Control." We're super jazzed with how this came out, and cannot wait for you all to hear it. The release date is pending, but should be sometime in April or May of this coming spring.

We again joined forces with Ed Rose for production, and Chris Fudurich is currently mixing the tracks. As usual working with Ed was an incredible process; the man has so many brilliant ideas and is a master at getting the perfect tones. This will be our first time working with Chris, but...

Say Hi To Your Mom is almost done recording their new album. You can read an update below.

Say Hi To Your Mom Recording UpdateWe've extended our stay at Lake Barcroft and things are moving along nicely. With the exception of a few tracks here and there, all of the recording is done and we've started mixing. With Alex at the helm of the console, I spent four days on the vocals in front of the U87 and realized again how I hate nothing more than recording my voice. The past couple days have been spent with a Fender Rhodes and Alex's Novation Bass Station, an instrument that is, in my opinion, the best invention ever. It's also been really nice to hear the record develop into something...

Everlea have left the following message on their website:
Everlea UpdateWe're coming back to Ottawa and we're super-stoked. We'll be rockin' Zaphod Beeblebrox where we played our very first Ottawa show. Be sure to show up if you want to see us all sentimental and misty-eyed.

Holy crap. This album is taking forever. Drums and bass are done. So is acoustic guitar. Justin's guitar work is just about finished, and Casey just started tracking his parts. Then we have to do vocals and all the little flourishes and stuff. At this rate, tracking will probably be done sometime in early 2078. Subscribe to our newsletter so we can let you know about release dates and such.

Versus the Mirror have completed recording for their Equal Vision Debut, Home. Below is a message from the band regarding the new album:
MessageHappy Holidays! After a few months of studio life, I'd like to report that our debut full length "Home" is completed and will be released early April 2006. I can't express how happy we are with the final product. This album was a huge emotional release for us and it captures every feeling and emotion from the last year or so for us. The sound is completely different from every record out there. I know you may hear that from every band but this statement holds true. We recorded it in analog format, used guitars, amps, mics from the 60's and 70's,...

Say Hi To Your Mom have provided an update on the recording of their new album. See below.

Say Hi To Your Mom Recording UpdateWe're about to begin day five at Lake Barcroft and things are going grand, thanks in part to 96k, the API pre's, a 70's U87, the KRK's and Logic. We finished drum tracks for all twelve songs halfway through day three and spent the rest of the day recording some guitar and synth. Yesterday we rocked all the bass tracks with a 70's J bass that just sounds yummy and a Gibson "The Ripper," courtesy of Dirty On Purpose, who are finishing up their first full length down the hall at Headgear. Thanks, friends, for your contribution to our low end. Gonna do a bunch...

And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead is currently in the studio recording. However, they haven't decided whether what they're recording right now will be an EP or their next full length. If it turns out to be a full length, then they'll be working on it throughout the winter and will hopefully have it done by early spring, which means it'd be out in the summer or fall. If it ends up being an EP, it'll have four songs and will be out in the spring.
