I've long held that Red City Radio is one of the most underrated punk bands on this website. The Oklahoma City quartet impressed with its first two full-lengths, The Dangers of Standing Still and Titles, playing the type of punk rock with gruff vocals that generally calls for PBR + whiskey shot specials. But their newest offering, a self-titled LP and debut via new label Staple Records, is ready to flip the script a bit. Strung Out will be starting a massive tour across North America in April. La Armada plays the entire tour while Masked Intruder will play one half and Red City Radio will play the other. Dates in the replies.

Oklahoma City punk-rock act Red City Radio has signed to Staple Records (current home of Thrice, frnkiero andthe cellabration, La Dispute) and is entering Red Audio Werks with Kendall Stephens to begin recording their third full-length album today. The band is following up 2013's Titles and most recently toured with New Found Glory on the Glamour Kills Tour in the fall.

Oklahoma City punks, Red City Radio, played at Austin's Red 7 on Friday October 10th to a small but rowdy crowd. Openers Threes Away and Direct Hit! were some of the most solid openers I had seen in a while. Check out photos of Red City Radio in the comments.

Red City Radio has recently confirmed that Ryan Donovan from Nothington will be Paul Pendley's replacement on guitar.

Paper + Plastick Records is recapping 2013 with an 11-album digital bundle for $15. The bundle is available to purchase this week only and includes releases from Pentimento, Red City Radio, Light Years and more. The label will start 2014 off by announcing a new signing tomorrow.

The second installment of the label's 12 Days of Streams, where a different 2011 release is streaming every weekday leading up to Christmas, Red City Radio's debut LP for P+P garnered a positive review earlier this year from our very own Matthew Tsai. Paper + Plastick have yet to put out a bad record, so you should be sold on this band based on that alone. Regardless of how awesome the label is, Red City Radio are the real deal.
