Yesterday we brought you Reggie and the Full Effect covering He is Legend. Another one of James Dewees' perks for his Kickstarter was to play on a fan's demo/recordings. James ended up playing on an AP.net user's entire album, and as explained by the fan, "it's one of those things I had dreamed about as teenager when I first started writing music." The resulting album is up on Bandcamp in its entirety.

One of the cool perks offered by the Reggie and the Full Effect Kickstarter was the ability to get Reggie to cover any song you wanted. AP.net reader and backer, Peter, had RATFE cover He is Legend's "Dicephalous" -- and because Peter is awesome -- he wanted to share it with everyone. You can check it out in the replies.

According to this weeks Nothing To Write Home About podcast with Matt Pryor. James Dewees said Adam Lazzara has recorded guest vocals for the new Reggie and the Full Effect album.

PropertyOfZack recently sat down with James Dewees (Reggie and the Full Effect) and they talked about RATFE, MCR, and a joint EP with Matt Pryor on Equal Vision.
We have an EP coming out on Equal Vision Records soon. Its like three songs. Hes happy and Im really happy with it. When we started playing together again, it came about by me sending him demo songs. Since Ive been home Ive just been in the basement writing music. Ideas just keep pouring out. Some of them dont sound Reggie enough to be Reggie, so Id send them to Matt. Hed send them back with vocals that would blow me away.

PropertyOfZack is reporting that Frank Iero of My Chemical Romance has started a new "electronic hardcore" band called Death Spells with James Dewees (The Get Up Kids, Reggie and the Full Effect).
James: I have this other thing going with Frank from MCR called Death Spells. Were opening up for Mindless Self Indulgence in two or three weeks. Its more like an electronic-hardcore project. Weve been working with a visual graphics artist and hes been making these insane videos for us. The music is al little more intense...
Thomas Nassiff on 03/24/13 - 09:52 AM
James Dewees has started a Kickstarter campaign to relaunch Reggie and The Full Effect with new album.
i've spent many years touring with my chemical romance as their keyboard player and over those years i realized that i am without a doubt, a silly person, i write silly music, say silly things, i generally have a very absurd look on life. Reggie, is how i share that silliness with all of you. I've always been honest with my music. Whatever goes on in my life i write music about.

An astute AbsolutePunk.net member went to see Reggie and the Full Effect recently and wrote in regarding James Dewees' plans post-Reggie.
Fan Reports InAt the show tonight at the Triple Rock in Minneapolis, MN, James from Reggie and the Full Effect announced that there would be an album soon from his alter-ego, Fluxuation. He played a few new clips of songs...one about an asian woman that follows him and one about peforming oral sex on a woman.

They were classics.

Reggie is not dead at all.

James Dewees stated on Reggie and The Full Effect's myspace:

"I started this as a joke band and it became a real band after The Get Up Kids broke up. Then I got way into debt and drugs. I've cleaned up the drug part, but still have the debt and the jokes. I'm thankful for everything I've done, mistakes included. I love candy and my friends; if my friends tasted like Runts, I would eat them without a doubt. Duh, who wouldn't."

After a brief "hiatus," Reggie And The Full Effect is back.
Message From James DeWeeshey turkeys sorry for the confusion, reggie and the full effect isnot broken up, its just me. i cant break up with myself. what i meant by the previous quote was that i am done paying people money who have nothing to do with the band. i am writing whatever i want. i am singing whatever i want and doing whatever i want. its something that alot of my freinds in bands should do as well. people tend to forget that without songwriters there would be no songs and without musicians there would be music. therefore there would no industry, a bunch of dudes in a room without a product is just a bunch of dudes in...
