You may remember last year we debuted the Holiday ABSOLUTExclusive series with some pretty glorious tunes. Well we're bringing it back again in '08 and kicking it off with... who else but Relient K! Head to the replies for the premiere of the band's new animated featurette for their song "Sleigh Ride." Then go head and enter our Relient K holiday contest for an autographed CD and some merch.
Relient Khave tracked 13 songs for a new EP titled The Nashville Tennis. They also have plans to release a 20+ song b-sides record entitled The Bird and the Bee Sides. The band hopes to have both out during the Summer.
Relient K's high-resolution art for their upcoming Christmas album, Let It Snow Baby... Let It Reindeer, can be found in the AP Gallery. You can also see some jolly promotional pictures here, here, here, and here.
Relient K have unveiled the artwork for their forthcoming Christmas release, Let it Snow, Baby... Let it Reindeer, which is scheduled to hit shelves on October 23rd courtesy of Capitol Records. Early Thursday morning, Relient K's tour bus caught fire on the Pennsylvania Turnpike while en route to a show in Illinois. The band and all crew members made it off safely, but it only took minutes for the bus and their trailer with all their instruments to become engulfed in flames. They lost absolutely everything.
Last weekend was our highly successful AbsoluteAcoustic show in San Francisco with Relient K and I've attached some photos to this post (click on the replies in order to be able to see them). We had a great turnout of around 200-300 people, with some people waiting in line for up to five hours in order to be at the front. I'd like to thank the staff at the San Francisco downtown Apple store, Ashley and Kim from Capitol Records, Jon Lally, Travis for taking these pictures, and of course Relient K and their tour manager Scott.
Don't forget that our AbsoluteAcoustic show with Relient K is tomorrow at 1 PM in the Apple store in downtown San Francisco. For more information, go here. I'll be expecting every Bay Area person who visits this site to be there. If you have any more questions that you'd like the band to answer for their interview tomorrow as well, make sure to put that in the replies to this post.
I will be interviewing Relient K this Saturday as part of their AbsoluteAcoustic show at the Apple store in San Francisco. If you have any questions for them, please leave them in the replies. If you'll be in the San Francisco area this Saturday, make sure to come out to the free show!
AbsolutePunk is proud to announce the next show in our AbsoluteAcoustic series - Relient K performing in San Francisco next Saturday, April 14th. The free acoustic performance will take place at 1 PM at the Apple Store in downtown San Francisco. This intimate performance will be open to the public so we're expecting a lot of people to show up - we recommend getting there early in order to get a good spot.
I had the chance to catch the Saint Louis stop of the Sherwood/Mae/Relient K show last night. I've posted my thoughts about the show right here. Before the show I also got a chance to sit down with Dan for Sherwood and ask him a few questions. Look for the interview to be posted sometime later this week.
To get some quality feedback on their new record Five Score and Seven Years Ago, Relient K looked towards the timeless wisdom of their elders. Check out the third of three AP exclusive spots in the replies or on the band's AP Profile to see the first senior participant who actually digs new Relient K.
