The Junior Varsity's debut album, The Great Compromise, is being re-released as a CD/DVD. It will hit stores on May 30th; however, it is now available for pre-order at Interpunk for only $11 with a signed poster included (while supplies last). The tracklisting is below.
Cartel's Chroma will be re-released on Epic on June 6th. The re-release will include tweaked artwork, but this is not one of those "deluxe" versions that every label seems to be coming out with these days. Instead, it is simply so that Epic can push the album as one of their own. Capitol Records will be releasing Capitol Albums Volume 2 on April 11th, a companion to The Beatles' 2004 collection that had their first four albums. This one includes The Early Beatles, Beatles VI, the Help! soundtrack, and Rubber Soul (the American pressing). All songs will be in stereo and mono mixes.
The Junior Varsity's debut full length, The Great Compromise, will be re-released on May 30th, and will include unreleased songs from both the Wide Eyed and The Great Compromise eras, and will also come with a DVD biography about the band, their hardships, and live videos.
Royden has posted another video update from the studio in their "Adventure Journal." The band will be be posting a remixed song from their soon-to-be re-released EP, Best Friends Our Worst Enemies, on February 27th over at pureVOLUME. The EP re-release date is set for April 11th.
Mae will be re-releasing The Everglow in the beginning of April. The contents of this release can be seen below. The band is also currently in the studio with Mark Hoppus working on a cover for the Punk Goes 90s compilation. They will either be covering "Break It Down Again" by Tears For Fears or "March of the Pigs" by Nine Inch Nails.
Plans for a re-release that will include As I Lay Dying's album Beneath The Encasing Of Ashes and their songs on the Split CD they did with American Tragedy is in the works. The band will also be heading into the studio to record a new version of "Reinvention" for the effort. Metal Blade is eyeing down a May release.
In honor of their Uk tour, Fall Out Boy are re-releasing the single 'Sugar We're Goin' Down' in the UK on February 6th. Unlike the previous release, this release will contain two CDs and a 7". The single will be available in all major record stores and online including Amazon.co.uk, HMV.co.uk and Recordstore.co.uk.
A new song and DVD will be featured on the upcoming re-release(out March 7th) of Norma Jean's album O' God The Aftermath. In other news, the band just got back from tour and are going to take a little break before they begin writing the next album.
Darkest Hour will enter the studio in January with Brian McTernan to re-mix and re-master their first Victory album, So Sedated, So Secure, which will be re-released on March 7, 2006. This re-issue with contain a new layout, liner notes written by the band, two new tracks, covers of Pentagram’s “Be Forewarned” and Battery’s “Go Back To The Gym.”
Fidelity Records will be re-releasing Race The Sun's The Rest Of Our Lives is Tonight. I'm not sure what extras may be included, but we'll find out soon enough.
According to RevHQ.comJonah Matranga's There's A Lot In Here, originally self-released CD/DVD, will be re-released via Equal Vision Records on February 21st.
