John Mayer has commented on the Taylor Swift song, "Dear John" that was allegedly written about him.
From Rolling Stone"It made me feel terrible," Mayer says in the new issue of Rolling Stone, on newsstands Friday. "Because I didn't deserve it. I'm pretty good at taking accountability now, and I never did anything to deserve that. It was a really lousy thing for her to do."

Against Me! singer-guitarist Tom Gabel made her live debut as Laura Jane Grace on Friday, performing with the band under her new name for the first time.
From the ArticleCharging through a 40-minute set at Humphreys Concerts by the Bay in San Diego – the first stop in a month-long U.S. tour with British rockers the Cult – the quartet played six new songs, including the rollicking anthem "Transgender Dysphoria Blues," the title track of an album they're working on. Decked out in a loose-fitting black tank top, tight black jeans and black eye shadow, Grace was in high spirits as she delivered her trademark, throat-shredding screams.

Today the new Rolling Stone hits shelves -- it's the one with the full article on Tom Gabel's recent news. Seeing as it's the first issue of the magazine I've actively wanted to seek out in years ... I figured I wouldn't be the only one. So, with that I'm opening up a thread here on the homepage for people that have picked up the magazine to talk about it, share thoughts, insights, and whatnot. As soon as I can get my ass to the store, I'll be joining in with my thoughts.

It has just come to our attention that Rolling Stone will be publishing an article on May 24th detailing how Tom Gabel, frontman and lead singer to Against Me! will be undergoing a sex change. This is literally breaking right now, so give me a second as I put together the facts and update this post with the information that comes in.

Update: Gabel says his new name will be Laura Jane Grace. He says he's not attracted to men and will still be married to his wife. They have a 2-year-old daughter.

Update #2: Some pictures of the upcoming article are online, check them out here. The full article is in the May 24th issue of the magazine.

Update #3: This goes without saying, but...

The Black Keys will be on the cover of the next issue of Rolling Stone. And they're not pulling punches. In a recently released excerpt, found here, the band takes direct aim at Nickeback. Personally, I love seeing this kind of honesty from artists. Plus, it always helps when the punching bag deserves it.
From the ArticleRock & roll is dying because people became OK with Nickelback being the biggest band in the world,” he says, blowing cigarette smoke out the window of his rented East Village loft a few days *before the band heads to L.A. “So they became OK with the idea that the biggest rock band in the world is always going to be shit – therefore you should never try to be the...

Message from Maxalthough some bands like to say that input from kids doesn't affect them, for us it does, and what we've heard from you about the music so far is humbling me on a daily basis. i can't thank you absolutepunk kids enough. i can't believe how much of what i've read has been nice and it's cool that we've inspired people to voice their opinions either way. we owe you guys everything. after all, without you, i'd just be some crazy skinny-fat dude yelling awkward impromptu poetry over clash covers. oh, wait...
