Beau from Saosin has posted on the band's forum about the recording of their new album with Matt Squire.
MessageWe have like 15 songs all done ready to be mixed. and to be honest with you, they are pretty kick ass. butch walker produced 5 songs that turned out really good. we self produced the remaining 10 songs. the record is super solid... i think anyone who is a fan of saosin is gonna be really syked for this record.

the powers that be above us want us to write "i kissed a girl part 2" unfortunately, we are not that band. so the musical match makers from above set us up on a date with matt squire, hoping that we will make sweet passionate musical love, and conceive a "smash single."...

Indiependent Music has posted an interview with Saosin that delves into the possibility of a b-sides album, why they can't tour certain parts of the world, and their fascination with beetles.
From the InterviewThere are a lot of cool things about beetles. From what we've researched, beetles are one of the strongest animals. If there was a nuclear bomb, beetles -together with cockroaches, I think- would survive everything. And I feel that's how our band is. There are a lot of bad things that happen to us, like the label, and how we've gone through member changes, but hopefully we'll keep on living and surviving. If you look inside of the artwork, where the beetle hatches and all that -...

In honor of this past Veteran's Day, and as we approach the holiday season, Saosin would like to dedicate their song "You're Not Alone" to the military men, women and families serving the United States; the band is encouraging fans to put together their own Fliptrack video showing messages of hope, love and support for their loved ones who are serving, or for the troops in general. Here is an example the band found inspiring.

Envy On The Coast has been forced to drop off their upcoming run with Saosin due to complications with vocalist Ryan Hunter's vocal chords.
Message From The bandHey guys...Brian here. I have a bit of bad news. The past week of shows have been super rough on Ryan and he's been struggling to get through our set. Not fun...especially since he holds himself to such a high standard of performance. Yesterday at the Saints and Sinners festival were the pinnacle of his problems, vocally, and he told us that he's in dire need of a doctor to see whats wrong with him. It turns out....a combination of things were wrong with his voice. A case of acid reflux combined with a polyp and burst blood...

One particularly rocking AP member went to see Saosin recently and was fortunate enough to be in the crowd while they were filming for their upcoming DVD. Read his derrière-riddled story below.
Fan ReportThis isn't so much news, however, it is VERY entertaining. At the Saosin show on Saturday night in Philly (the show they shot for their DVD), fans were yelling out songs for them to play and a few people at once yelled for them to play "Show me Yo Bootyhole!". At this request Cove said, "We will play Show me Yo Bootyhole if you first show us yours. At this point the person who was in the center of an open pit bent over with his ass in the air and spread his bare cheeks. Since it was a...
