Every Memorial Day weekend at Neumos in Seattle, WA, the best hardcore festival in America takes place - Rainfest. The first half of this year's announcement has been posted, along with ticket links (which will go fast). Head to the replies to check out the bands, which include: Down to Nothing, Backtrack, and Cold World. The second half of the bands will be released February 15th at 9pm PST. Oh yeah, did I mention Andrew W.K. may perform? Nobody can miss that.

The first batch of bands on this year's Rainfest have been announced. The annual festival will take place at Neumos in Seattle, WA on May 24th-26th. Ticketing info and full lineup will be announced Feb. 15th at 9pm PST. You can follow Rainfest on twitter and facebook for more announcements as they come.

Pure Noise Records has signed Seattle hardcore band To The Wind. The label plans to re-release the band's No More Than This EP later this fall.

Fan Reports In: "Last night at the Fenix TX show in Seattle, Will told the crowd that the reason they don't play "Ben" is because their drummer didn't bother to learn it. They also covered Journey and Nirvana in front of the crowd of about 250 people."
