The owners of Secretly Canadian Records and Jagjaguwar Records recently created the Dead Oceans record label - the label will have the same staff, essentially, as its sister labels and "will focus on bold and timeless recordings, not emphasizing ap articular genre or scene." The label will be releasing albums by Bishop Allen, Dirty Projectors, Evangelicals, and Iran.
