Strike Anywhere's Thomas Barnett has teamed up with former members of Rise Against, Set Your Goals, Death By Stereo, and Nations Afire to create the new band: Great Collapse. Check the replies to stream "New Abolition." The band's album Holy War will be out October 2nd.

Set Your Goals vocalist Matt Wilson did an in-depth interview with Lambgoat, where he discusses the band's old label, Eulogy Recordings, and how they've never paid out royalties for Mutiny!; he also gets into other aspects of the band's bumpy past. Certain tidbits are very interesting: Epitaph Records paid over $100,000 to buy out the band's contract from Eulogy, SYG got interest from Pete Wentz but that ended after a bizarre mishap, and the band is proud of Burning At Both Ends but acknowledges that fans "deserved better." He even mentions the vague possibility of Mutiny! 10-year shows in 2016. The full interview can be read here.
Tensions between band and label at this point were at...

Matt from Set Your Goals has posted an update on the band's Facebook filling us in with what the band's been up to.
On a related note, I've gotten a ton of angry messages asking for an answer on the status of the band. The truth is, we just don't know the future for certain and don't want to get people's hopes up or give any information that could end up being untrue. As a band, we are laying low for a while and busy individually with our adult lives. We haven't "broken up" per se, we're just focusing on other things for the time being. Here's what we've been up to:
-Dan got married and will be moving to Atlanta, GA, next month.
-Joe recently moved to Portland, OR, and plays in a band...

Set Your Goals vocalist Matt Wilson has started a new band called Chains. Listen to their first song, "Cages," in the replies. Their debut EP, The Sorrow, The Sadness, will be out in early 2015 through Calaveras Records.
I am equal parts darkness and light, and I have always had ideas that wouldn’t quite work for Set Your Goals; either the lyrics were too dark or the parts were too aggressive. Chains is an outlet for that. Once Set Your Goals slowed down I was able to put my ideas into motion. I grew up listening to extreme music, and this project is more in line with those tastes.

In case you missed the Kickstarter started by Set Your Goals frontman Matt Wilson to fund his new record label and a 10-year anniversary reissue of the band's Reset EP on 10" vinyl, you can now preorder it at Calaveras Records' webstore.

To those asking, we won't be playing any shows. Sorry if the "Reset" reissue got anyone's hopes up. Just wanted to do something cool. -Matt

From the Interview No, our biggest thing is that we’re all about being oldschool. We don’t like the keyboards or the dubstep or that crazy stuff. Our biggest thing was to step away and tone it down some; to play our instruments and be and oldschool thrash metal band

Check out our interview with Set Your Goals here. The band is currently on their headliner tour with support from Cartel, Fireworks, and more.
From The InterviewI want to write songs about being motivated and really persevere and get through hard times. People might think it's cheesy, because a lot of bands are doing the whole "Fight!" thing. We want to be a positive and motivating influence for people that listen to us; we're not trying to cry on songs, we're trying to bring out emotion in the right way. We're trying to make people go out and be active and do something. I think it'll be something like Mutiny was lyrically; it was a very driven and determined record, where This Will Be...
